When he woke up that morning, Cameron Farr wasn't expecting to end up running for his life.  It was a cool and breezy morning at Mt. Pelion Academy, a 30-year old institute devoted to turning rambunctious boys into young gentlemen.  For the most part, it had been successful at the job.

Cam and his friends were some of the few exceptions.  When they had banded together the previous year, bound together by their fear of the upperclassmen, no one could have predicted their onslaught through the school.

When roommates were chosen for the next year, Dr. Jerimiah considered separating them, but decided against it, concluding that they would either enlist their new roommates in their scheme, or make them
targets.

So on this brisk morning, the "Infamous Four" faced the new day with some anticipation.  When John Church's custom-made alarm clock boomed at 7 AM, rattling the windows, Cam had already been awake, although he'd been staring at the ceiling attempting to squeeze just a few more minutes of blessed sleep.

His bunkmate, Jeff Capra, rolled over blearily, knocking a stack of comics onto the floor.  Across the room, John's fellow bunkholder, Tim Donovan, threw a balled up sock with practiced ease, knocking the
offending clock off the desk into a wastepaper basket.

As usual, John slept through it all.  His roommates, blearily pulling on robes and slippers, gathered around his peacefully slumbering form.

"Aww...isn't he cute." Cam remarked.  "All he needs is a teddy bear."

"More like a grizzly bear," Tim groused.

Jeff grinned at his skinny comrade. "Just because you stumbled in at 2 AM...what was it this time?  Vampires? Dragons?"

"Werecats", Tim replied sheepishly.  "Mike found a new game on the net, and we just had to try it out."

"I keep telling you guys, you need to play a real game, like Warhammer." John's level voice issued from the sheets.

"It's ALIVE!!!" Cam shouted, staggering back dramatically, only to recieve a pillow in the head for his trouble. "Everyone's a critic."

Coming soon:

Cam and his friends acheive no small amount of vengeance on Darrel Vincent, school quarterback and chief of their tormentors, by pulling off a surprisingly complex scheme involving duct tape, superglue, 3 video cameras, and a live goat.  And Cam's roomates discover some family reunions are worse than others.

They bypassed the snoozing guard with ease, and had almost made it to the garage where the school van was kept...but found themselves cut off by a black machine from the bowels of hell.

The door opened, and a panther-like figure emerged, wearing an evil-looking gauntlet.  Frozen in their tracks, they could only stare as he stalked towards them, eyes glittering like chips of ice in the dim light of their flashlights.

With practiced grace, he studied each shivering boy in turn, stopping before Cam.  With a flourish, he dropped to one knee, and extended his gloved hand, palm down, to the startled boy before him.

"Hail, young prince.  I am Nobis, of the blood of the Tar. Thy father has sent me to defend thee in a time of great peril.  What is thy command?"
