I've always loved comic books. During the time I was working on
the Otaku Rising stories, an online
friend first introduced me to the manga-style madness of Gold
Digger, and I've been an avid reader since.
About two years ago, I'd heard that the writer, Fred Perry, was going to
be on IRC, and, being the callow youth I was, I attended the session .
For reasons I no longer recall, I hung around
the channel, becoming a regular (and eventually an "op"). Along the
way, in a fashion not unlike how I met the Corinthian, I became the editor/proofreader/co-author
of a series of fanfics set in one or more alternate GD continuities created
by Jason "Peebo" Low. And in the months that follow, we've written
quite a bit, almost all of which can be reached at Peebo's website:
There is one story he doesn't know about..a story adapted from a work
I did in another universe, a story called:
NEW!
For Halloween 2000, I crafted a special story for the FPFC, a story where nothing is quite what it seems:
You'd think that between my stories with Jason and my personal work, I'd have my plate full. However...
I was trained as a teacher. And from time to time, I still
try to use the knowledge I've collected to aid others. So,
when Russell "Hilden" Gaskin asked me to help out with his Gold
Digger fanfic, I was glad to be of service...even if he didn't need my
help. Lacking webspace of his own, he asked that his work be
stored here. So without further ado, the RKD is proud to present...
Russell's back. And this time he's brought us a little tale
of loss and betrayal. But once again, the old saying holds true...every
dog will have his day. (PS: He still doesn't need my help).
