Charles Salmon was the son of Richard Salmon and Julianor Budd, thus the grandson of Colonel John Budd. He is supposed to have been born about 1815, but if both his birthdate and his mother's are correct, that would make his mother only 16 when she bore him.
Charles' wife was Nancy Kinnan, born about 1810. Together they had 7 children:
