Buff-bellied Hummingbirds
The Buff-bellied hummingbird (Amazilia yucatensis) can be identified by a long, thin bill with a reddish base, metallic green head and breast, a green back, rusty colored sides and buff belly.
The Buff-bellied hummingbird builds nests that are usually less than five feet off the ground, generally in low bushes.
The United States Range of the Buff-bellied hummingbird is the Gulf Coast of Texas. The fairly large size, green breast and buff belly identify this species.
