More signs of Spring. I sat on my porch yesterday morning just watching the butterflies. God they are pretty. Good place to visit for signs of Spring is Journey North Symbolic Monarch Butterfly Migration Today's News page. They have regular updates on all kinds of migrations.

It is wildflower time again in Texas. The bluebonnets and Indian Paint Brush are springing up in front of the house. The Texas Department of Transportation will activate their toll-free wildflower hotline providing callers with automated information on the best locations for wildflower viewing along the Texas highway system. Call 1-800-452-9292.

March, March! It can not all ready be March! Well it is and as they say time "marches" on. hehehehe. SXSW starts soon and this weekend is Texas Idependence celebration. Big BBQ in Dripping Springs.

Just a few lines to note that it is a new year. Already the second month of a new year. Busy times for me and mine. Work is busy, home is busy.
My kiddo is a junior this year, but not at the local high school. He is at Lamar University. He a student at the Texas Academy of Leadership in the Humanities. His dad and I are very proud of him. We do miss him being around, but he is doing well(3.75 GPA first semester). One B, in French.

Told my boss the other day that work interferes with my hobbies. He thought it was funny. Been fishing several times in the last two weeks. Caught some nice fish. My kiddo made all A's on his report card. He will be a junior in high school this fall. His dad and I are very proud of him. Memorial Day weekend in Llano County was not so good for some folks. Seven killed and several others hurt in MVAs and two hurt in a house explosion. This is not counting the boating accidents. Hope the rest of the summer is not as sad.

Time pasts so quickly these days. Well at least I did not set a goal to write something everyday. Thunderstorms in Texas tonight, had my system shut down for several hours. Internet withdrawal, I need something else to do. Maybe I will take up a new hobby. But I need to research that on the net. hehehehe.
