Soundz of Counties Chorus was formed in September 1995 and became a fully chartered chapter of Sweet Adelines in November 1997.
We are a group of women mainly from the Counties region, our members represent a variety of ages, backgrounds and professions. The one thing we share is a love of singing!
We meet once a week to sing and learn and also perform on a regular basis at a variety of functions and occasions. Some of our performances are paid engagements but we also commit time and effort to community involvement and have taken part in charity events and sung at local rest homes.
In 1998 we competed in our first national competition along with 16 other New Zealand choruses. In 1999 we competed again and were placed 6th, a result we are very proud of.
