3LW

3LW (Three Little Women) are the latest trio of teenagers to hit the scene. (I.E. Sammie, Lil' Bow Wow, and N-Toon) Surprisingly enough, the trio makes a strong entrance into the R&B scene with the radio smash "No More" and the remix featuring Nas. The first single definitely sets the tone for the rest of the album with other radio friendly jams. The group interprets some of the songs such as "I'm Gonna Make You Miss Me" and "Gettin' Too Heavy" as if they were twice their age. Two hot joints off of the album definitely has to be "Playas Gon Play" and "Is You Feelin' Me"! For those of you who bought the Bring It On soundtrack you will get a second dose of "Til I Say So" which is a decent song and probably overlooked among the other songs on both the album and soundtrack. Basically, the album is radio R&B for the teenage audiences but don't let that sway your decision to buy the album because it definitely has some good joints for the masses. I give the album a 7.5 out 10. If you like "No More" then buy the whole album.

Chicago 85

Back after his debut album Ghetto Hymms, Dave Hollister comes strong on the new album Chicago 85: The Movie! Musically, the album is less "ghetto" than before and comes a lot smoother. The first single "One Woman Man" definitely is a good lead single and is not even the best song on the album. "On The Side" is about a vengeful partner who spreads lies and rumors about him and he really gets his point across. My personal favorite is the homage to women "Take Care Of Home" where he tells men what they got to do including holding hands, telling her 'I Love You', and giving her the world! Very romantic song! But remember, just because this album is less "ghetto" than Ghetto Hymms, doesn't mean it lacks that rough, thug R&B style that put him on the map with My Favorite Girl and Babymamadrama. On "Yo Baby's Daddy" he goes off on the father of his woman's child and definitely puts him into place. He reprents for the fellas on "A Woman Will" telling them exactly how to act with women and treat them right. Dave Hollister even represents on the smooth love tip with songs like "Destiny" and "I'm Not Complete" which will have the ladies fainting by the dozens. Definitely another solid R&B album from Dave Hollister and I give the album a 8.75 out of 10. My Favorite Girl is still his best song!! ;)

TP-2.com

The king of Bump N Grind is back and definitely represents. Right off, "TP-2" (Track One) lets you know this is not your average R&B sappy love song cd. Track 2 through 4 also set the sexually explicit tone of the album and takes a break for the first love (not making love) song of the album "I Don't Mean It" which tells his woman that he doesn't mean to act like an ass. The party track "Fiesta" which some may have seen featuring Jadakiss on pre-released bootlegs, features Boo and Gotti, R. Kelly's hip-hop proteges that can be found on the "I Wish Remix" as well. The freakiest title award definitely goes to "Feelin' On Yo Booty" but I must admit this song is a great song. (Even when he harmonizes 'booty' at the end of the song) And despite what you might think, the song really talks about holding a woman's booty when on the dancefloor. (What were you thinking?!?) One of R. Kelly's biggest hits, "When A Woman's Fed Up", has a sibling with the song "A Woman's Threat" which tells men exactly what a woman can and will do. The first single for R. Kelly's 12 Play 2000 surprisingly is "I Wish" the anthem for the ghetto and lost homies. The song reveals a more personal side of R. Kelly away from the sexin' music he usually is famous for. I gave the album a strong 8.85 out of 10, if you like his last albums definitely get this one because it is R. Kelly in classic form!
