  WHAT YOU CAN DO!

Because of the pervasive and unrelenting news coverage of the terrorist attacks on America since September 11th, our children are exposed to words and images for which they may not be ready nor fully comprehend. For some suggestions on how to talk to them (and you should be talking to them) about what they are seeing and hearing in the coverage of these terrorist attacks, go here.

New York City has also put up a site entitled, "Coping With Children's Reaction to Disaster" with some excellent material to help parents and others with responsibilities for children deal with their fear and anxieties following a disaster.
