Please pay special attention to the Hardware Compatibility lists at the bottom of this table in the "Microsoft Help for Windows Millennium Editon" section. Windows Millennium may not be compatible with some of your existing applications if you upgraded to Win Me from a previous version of Windows—and it may cause problems with any new software you might want to install (see article "Winows Me Demands App Upgrades" link below). Check these sites for more information before you transfer your old programs or purchase new software in order to avoid compatibility problems.

YOUR WINDOWS HELP FILE

You don't need to log on to the Internet to get help with Windows Me; you can find it right on your hard drive. The
[Your WINDOWS.HLP file looks like this.] file provides a searchable index of the on-disk help for Windows. Access Windows Help by going to the Start Menu and selecting Help or just press F2 on your keyboard. Most will find the file in their
C:\WINDOWS\HELP\
folder.
