The sole owner and employee of the Reputable Stiletto, Esperanza is a fine merchant of impeccable repute, specializing in stilettos, and willing to cut anyone a deal (or perhaps just cut their purse strings, but it's hard to hold a little thing like that against anyone who mambos so well). This charming woman seems to be constantly in motion, verbally and physically. Her activity is perhaps due to her arduous life. "Why, I'm the only child of my poor blind mother and I take care of my nineteen blind paraplegic orphan brothers and sisters in addition to my poor old mum. She doesn't like to move, seeing as how her legs were both chopped off in a quite tragic accident and she's a bit embarrassed as to how her stumps look in fishnet tights, her being a workin' girl and all." After her rough (and somewhat inconsistent) beginning, she adventured with the fledgling elven Mage, Solitaire, now leader of Clan Advocation, eventually meeting up with and forming an elite adventuring force with fellow syvin merchant FreeHawk, now of Parlous, and the otherwise reclusive elven Mage, Skyler. Once she and her companions had explored the world, they each went their separate ways. Skyler withdrew further into the mysteries of magical research, seeking obscure answers to questions debated only among the Ivory Tower of Mages. FreeHawk, sadly, abandoned the strict lifestyle of a reputable merchant and joined Parlous, the most honorable clan of assassins, though some from their number have fallen to become thieves. Solitaire found his hands busy trying to guide young adventurers and keep his cheerful dwarven clanmate, the cleric Serenity, from exploring the realms of the dead too often. Esperanza threw herself heart, soul, and finances into creating the Reputable Stiletto, a lifelong dream, and doing a little bit of fishing now and again. Other than the store, the syvin lives a simple life spent in the pursuit of pure and decent goals, helping others and being a service to her community, even those who have fallen into the paths of evil, and mamboing like there will be no tomorrow. "My goals in life? Well, dearie me. I do so like to be a help to others, so it is my goal in life to aid others by removing the nasty, vile temptations of wealth and material goods which can so often corrupt even the best and most well meaning of souls.
