The Red Road Jeff Tucker 1995 In the Native Way you hear the term the good Red Road a lot. I have heard it said that this road is the blood that flows in our veins. I have also heard it explained that this road is a middle road it centers itself between the dark and the light on one side you have a thing that wishes to devour you on the other may be something that wishes to in slave. On this Road there all your Ancestors standing to the side warning you of all the hooks and traps along the way. We all but have to listen to their voices. A Blackfeet Man once told me he asked his Uncle about this thing called the Red Road what is it and how wide is it he asked. His Uncle replied That this road is as narrow as the edge of the razor that he shaves with, but that it is wide enough for every man woman and child to walk side by side together on. It is important to understand that no race or no color of man is above the other. It is the work of Power in our governmental societies that corrupt and even in our priesthood's that give this illusion that one is greater than the other. It is our job to see beyond the trickster and remain in the Center. May we All Walk in Beauty. |
