Welcome to the Idiot's Guide to Mac Cases. At this website, you can find info on how to open up, replace hard drives, CD-ROM drives, and floppy drives, and remove motherboards in many Mac models. We will always be growing, so if your Mac model doesn't have a link by it yet, please be patient.

The site has been moving place to place, and I very much apologize. It used to be located at http://www.ircandy.com/maccases/ but ircandy.com is being slowly phased out. Sorry for any inconveniences. I'm looking to update the look of the site and add more information sometime in the future, but hopefully I can get an entire team working on this site rather than just me. 11/19/00
- Instructions were added for the Mac 128k/512k/512ke/Plus.
- Instructions were added for the Mac Classic/Classic II/Performa 200.
- Instructions were added for the SE and SE/30.
- Instructions were added for the Power Mac G3 All-In-One.
- Instructions and pictures were added for the PowerBook G3 Bronze Keyboard and the PowerBook G3 Bronze Keyboard with FireWire.
- The Performa 275 was added to the listings. It was missing before.
- Other minor changes.

- I am sorry about not updating this page. I have not had a lot of time to do it. I am planning on making Idiot's Guide to Mac Cases part of a bigger site with more general Mac info and troubleshooting. I would like to know what you think of the name of this site. Is it offending to anyone?
- Instructions for the Power Mac G3 Minitower have been added.
- Also added were instructions for the PowerBook 3400 and PowerBook G3 250 MHz.
- The Blue and White G3 instructions were changed to accomodate the Power Mac G4, since they both essentially use the same case design.
- Minor changes were made to the listing pages.
6/23/00
- There are now instructions for the Power Mac 8600 and 9600.
5/14/00 - I've created a News section on the main page. It will tell what is new with the website.
- Today (well, last night) I took pictures of the IIcx/IIci/Q700 opening and they are now on the website. Some of the pictures are blurry, I know, but my digital camera doesn't have a close-up lens.
- The Centris/Quadra 610/660av/ and Performa/PowerMac 61xx computers now have pictures.
- I also put a new "Pictures" logo next to the documents that have pictures.
- The main page was updated a bit, so it's easier to head directly to the Mac model you want to go to. The disclaimer link was put at the very top.
