About NML

The National Metallurgical Laboratory, Jamshedpur has been catering to the needs of our industry and has supported the Industrial Development in the area of Material Science ever since its inception in 1950. It has been tackling various industrial problems and has suggested viable solutions. The efforts have brought about an estimated national savings of Rs 20 crores per annum and has helped to avoid losses to the tune of Rs 90 crores per annum over the last few years. Besides it has contributed to industrial production through its knowhow and technology transfers.
