Equipment - You will need a low end pc 486/66 or better with a minimum of 16 meg of memory, and two network cards. The machine must have working floppy drive but does not need a hard drive.  Currently  you can get a machine configured this way for  about $50. If you have a choice, try to get a 486 that will boot up without an attached keyboard: Some will some will not. If your machine will not boot up without a keyboard, you will need one.

You also need a hub, Hubs come in different sizes. The size determines the number of machines you can use in your lan  (The lan is the collection of machines in your house). A four port (supports 4 machines) hub costs about $20.

If your selling 486 class machines - send me some email and I'll add your address to this page.
