Blow Off Valves -
Valves for discharging and safety devices

Valves for discharging and safety devices.   This family of valves are designed to remove fluid from a piping system.   They may discharge to another piping system, to a drain, to the atmosphere or even to a vessel operating at a lower pressure.   They are often automatic in operation.   Since a valve that works by levers and weights can easily be render inoperative by personnel most pressure relieving valves are spring loaded.
Blow Off Valves   Blow off valves are typically a wye-pattern or angle type globe valve.   It is used to remove air and other gases from boilers.   They are normally manually operated valves.   They are designed to meet the boiler code requirements.
