Diverting Valves for switching flow directions

Diverting valves   There are two types of diverting valves made.   Both types switch flow from one line into one of two outlets.   One type is wye pattern which contains a hinged disc at the intersection to closed one of the two outlets.   It is used primarily to handled services such as solids and powders.   The other type is designed for the handling of liquids only.   Instead of using moving parts it changes stream flow by using two pneumatic control lines.   It is available in sizes up to 6" only.
