| Rupture Disc Rupture discs are a safety device used to prevent the over pressuring of a piping system. It is designed to burst at a set pressure and cause a rapid discharge of a liquid or gas in a system. Rupture discs are a one time use only safety device. It is a replaceable disk commonly held in place between a set of flanges. The discs are available in a variety of materials including metal, graphite or for low pressure bursting, a plastic film. |
