UPDATE 12/19/97:
A couple of specific notes: PLEASE refrain from using any kind of swearing or 'foul language' in your letters. Our goal is to present a reasoned counter-argument and to prove that otaku are intelligent, educated people. (I have received a couple copies of abusive letters, and I will not archive them) Also, don't use net aliases if humanly possible. People don't take your words seriously when it's coming from "Tobor the Great" or any other such 'silly' name. Always attach your real name to the letter you send to USA Today.
