| Summary: | The prodigal brother to Lady Rennar Hune finally returns, after having been sent to Shienar some many months ago to learn manners and proper etiquette. Young Lord Kelric shows that he has benefited from the additional training in Shienar, particularly at the insistance of one Lady Orella, and her perserverance to see Kelric happily married. |
Arboretum: Inner City, Caemlyn
Though not exactly busy, the Arboretum's well kept grounds manages to keep it a popular spot in Caemlyn: a quiet escape from the chaos of the streets always ready to welcome any and all that should seek her out.
Not far off, people mill about the paths, wandering carelessly amid the garden's trails. All around, leaves and flowers alike are responding to the onset of autumn, the garden filled with warm reds, oranges and yellows. Every now and again, cool breezes blow through, stirring stray leaves across the small pond and nearby paths as the Creator cleans up the world for the coming winter. Small stone-lined paths creep off the park's main path, offering visitors a chance to slip away and find their own 'private' spot to sit and enjoy the greenery all around. At the western most end of the park, a high wrought-iron fence is surrounds three large trees, their crowns rivaling the nearby towers of the Inner City. Nestled amidst the ancient giants is a small gatehouse, nearly obscured with creeping ivy.
Demonder, Kelric, Mashir
Rennar arrives with Demonder.
Rennar tilting her head to the side a bit, she answers something Demonder says as he leads her into the gardens of the arboretum, "Hawk and Fisher seem to be doing quite well. I'm glad for Cende having left them behind."
Looking a bit worn from the few days of travel which have carried him towards Caemlyn, and home, a young man Rennar and Demonder ought to recognise turns his horse into the Arboretum from the other set of gates which enter on the Ferret Run end. Even tired, the young man has an urge to take the scenic route before he actually enters the family estate at Tiras Lorn. His reddish-blond hair is a contrast to the dark hair of his companion, a boy of about the same age but obviously not Andoran. probably Shienaran. The two are talking as they ride.
Demonder leads Rennar into the Arboretum with an appreciative gaze, his attentions mostly focus on Rennar though occassionally he does look ahead. The dark purple cloak flaps lightly in the wind, though restrained with its ends drawn over one shoulder to leave his arm and weapon exposed. "I never did get to know her well, but yes, the men are adjusting well and are a good fit for the Guard."
"They tend to be a bit over protective. I think they are worried about letting Cende down." Rennar speaks conspiratorally. "When she presented them to me, they came with high recommendations. I am grateful for her time here, and I miss her presense." She sighs lightly, "At least I had another female to talk to. I love Genette to pieces, but sometimes I need someone a little closer to my own age." There is a forlorn expression within Rennar's eyes as she speaks, "Cende was fun." Her eyes catch a bit of movement in the gardens. She stops, a brow lifting, as her gaze takes her into the direction of Kelric's horse, and another young man's. She remain's perfectly still, tensing slightly as she regards her younger brother.
The horses are at a walk, tails swishing lazily, as both young men continue to discuss something, though they are at a distance far enough to be seen talking rather than heard. Kelric twists a bit in the saddle, which is laden with packs, evidence of having arrived very recently into the city, within the hour in fact, and points off to the west making some other remark to his companion. The shienaran boy looks that direction too, replies a few short words, and turns his mount that direction, with a wave of a hand, and is off at a faster clip. Presumeably, they will meet up later. Thus engaged, Kelric has not yet spied his sister.
Sev walks through the large iron gates, entering from the Inner City.
A slight smile takes unto Demonder's features in response to Cende being fun. "We all need a little bonding with friends, I'm sorry that she's taking her voyage back to the Blight." In a near instant reaction, Demonder does sense Rennar's tensing. He doesn't find the cause of Rennar's concern immidiately, though his eyes do float across the two men riding on the horses. Even when he spots the rider, he does not instantly take notice of him. "Kelric?" Demonder's question comes with a hint of disbelief.
Sev comes up the way with an envelope of some kind, such as messengers might leave...
"I don't think it's just a voyage, Demonder. She was fairly hurt by Theowyn, from what I could tell. She didn't say it outright, but a woman knows these things." Gently, Rennar places a hand on Demonder's arm, patting it lightly. It is more a reassurance to herself than anything else. Slowly, at Demonder's question, Rennar nods her head. "Aye, it's him."
Sev approaches Rennar's side, then, handing her an envelope... "This came at the manor, Genette said you were expecting it?" Starting at the sound of another voice nearby, Rennar turns to regard Sev. A blush comes to the young House Head's cheeks. Hesitantly, she reaches out for the packet, "Thank you. It's probably figures on the income we made last year. One of the Magistrates is auditing all of the Houses, to make certain we are paying our proper amount of taxes and tithes."
Once his companion leaves him, Kelric turns his attention back to following the trail through the Arboretum. He makes a pass through his blondish hair with his hand, his hand sort of freezing there as his eyes cross the figure of his sister and her husband, and then dropping back onto the reins. A tug on the reigns slows his pace slightly. What to expect from his sister? He didn't exactly tell her he was coming home. That alone may be cause for displeasure.
Sev nods, "Aye... "Light knows the grain prices will only go up from here on end," Demonder comments lightly, frowning a hint for his own reasons. Offering Sev a brief incline of his head, he turns away to continue his spying on the riders making their way through the park. Demonder briefly follows the other man's horse, though Kelric receives most if not all of his attentions as he rides in closer. Knowing thedifficulties of their past, he steps forward with Rennar still at his arm. "Lord Kelric, this is an unexpected surprise." Already, Demonder is trying to judge the man, hoping there has been a change from his rash youth.
Nodding her head slightly, Rennar presses her lips together a bit, "Well, House Hune won't have too much of a problem with grain prices raising. We own several very prominent farms that produce the grains of Andor. Exporting grain might be a problem. If we go to war, which I hope we won't, then most of it will be needed for the Andoran military." She sighs heavily, "Though I am certain Aislynn would compensate us." She goes back to calling the Queen by her name, rather than title. Those who know Rennar know she's one of the Queen's few, most trusted friends.
Sev gives a bow to Demonder..
Uncertainty lingers on the youthful Lord's features now as his approach is all but expected. he's slightly unprepared for this. Perhaps another reason he chose to take the long way home. He sighs a little and then dismounts. "Lord Demonder.." A glance at his sister is stolen then, "Sister.. I suppose it is." he still has a bit of the haughty expression in general, but perhaps there is some temperance in his expression and bearing now too. He takes a deep breath and steps forward to hug Rennar unexpectedly.
Sev sees Kelric and waves brightly.
The young head of Hune silently turns her attention back to Kelric as she notices him growing closer to their locale. A light sigh escapes her, and her emerald eyes briefly go to Sev. "Cousin Sev, you remember my brother, Kelr-" That is all Rennar manages to get out, for at that moment Kelric's hug takes her by surprise. Nearly jumping out of her skin at first, Rennar uncertaintly and very hesitantly returns the offered hug. "It... it's good to see you again, Kelric." There is a fondness in her voice which suggests she has truthfully missed her brother, but it still wavers, as though she's uncertain.
Sev says "The long-lost... Aye..."
Demonder attempts to unwind his arm from Rennar's as Kelric does go for the very unexpected hug. His eyes widen a hint, and he does take a quarter of a step to the side, while his body movinto face the siblings. "It has been a few years at least?" Those dark green eyes shift to Sev in a brief question.
Sev tilts his head as i he was never sure what to expect...
The hug does not last long.. Young bucks do not like their mothers to kiss them, nor to be seen as too cozy with their families, and while he has matured slightly, Kelric is still much of a fashionable mind set. He drops his arms and steps back, smiling, though fidgeting slightly. "Hello, Lord Sev." His eyes look the warder over briefly and then return to Demonder and Rennar. "Yes, a few... I was not sure you would be pleased to see me return." he mentions.
It takes several moments for Rennar to get over her shock and surprise; first at her brother's return, and then the unexpected hug. Sensing his need to step away, Rennar, too, drops her arms from Kelric, though she allows them to wring together before her. "While we have had our differences in the past, you are always welcome home Kelric." Again, there is a fond hesitation; or more, perhaps, a caution which is equally shared with her brother. At long last, she allows her lips to curl into a warm smile, then she addresses words Sev spoke not moments before, "Not exactly long lost. I knew where Kelric was hiding himself. I'm the one that sent him off."
Sev ahs, silently. He was away even longer, himself, though the reason may now be obvious...
Sev smirks slightly. "My, how we've all grown, eh? "
Sev says "How now, Kelric, it's been ages.""
Sev offers a hand.
A touch of envy flashes across Demonder's expression briefly enough. "The Borderlands, I hear they are quiet. Still, it must be a mystical sight. You have taken the time to train there?" As the two siblings separate, Demonder returns closer to Rennar's side, though no longer at escort.
Meridon emerges from the side entrance that leads to Ferret Run.
Meridon trudges into the Arboretum grounds, his eyes downcast. Seemingly caught in a fit of melancholy, he sighs and takes long draws on the pipe clenched between his teeth.
A group of nobles, apparently, stands some distabnce away, and a horse.
Kelric takes the hand offered by Sev with a bit of reserve, shakes it, and lets go rather quickly. A half grin, half grimace moves on his lips as Rennar remarks on her sending him off. Though he can now see some of the point in it, it was still rather humiliating. "They are still quiet." Kelric remarks, though he shudders slightly, "Or would be if Lady Orella were not about to hound ever single man in sight. That woman is a menace." This last is a bit emphatic.
Meridon pauses at the edge of the main path to consider a particular fallen leaf. He turns it over lightly with the toe of his boot, then crushes it beneath his heel. Almost angry now, he clenches his jaw and kicks off along one of the smaller side-paths, aiming for the Gatehouse.
Delicately, the Lady Rennar lifts a brow at her brother's words, "Lady Orella?" There's more than a hint of a question to her voice, curiosity showing even within her eyes. Once again, she catches movement within the arboretum. Her eyes briefly pass over Meridon, though not knowing him she does not address him as yet. Turning back to Kelric, she murmurs quietly, "I am glad to have you back. There is much we need to discuss, and in part some of it deals with Calisa, though I'm sure by now some of the rumors have reached your ears."
Meridon You leave the grove of the Gatehouse.
Demonder twists at the sound of feet stomping, and wathces Meridon briefly as he makes his way throug. The arm at Demonder's side flexes a touch uneasy, standing in protection of the Daughter-Heir. He watches Kerlic for a response, not commenting on this Lady Orella.
Sev 's eyes dart up as though to make sure he shouldn't be tense too, casually surveying his surroundings.
Kelric looks a bit unhappy at mention of Calisa, a faint grimace twisting his slightly arrogant features. "Yes." he wrinkles his nose. "Lady Orella believes its her personal duty to arrange marriages for the whole of Shienar. Light Rennar, she's decided it's my turn and has been chasing me for the last 6 months solid. Everywhere I go, there she is with someone's daughter, from princess to peasant, trying to wheedle me into escorting the girl of the day. I fairly had to sneak out of Shienar to evade her on my way out."
Meridon falls to rest beneath the boughs of the overlarge trees, leaning heavily against the wrought-iron fence. He folds his arms over his head and just leans there, still, eyes closed, unaware or uncaring of what dirt might be ground into his coat.
Sev smiles a bit, rubbing the back of his neck. That kind of menace seems a cheerful thought about now.
A touch of amusement tentatively enters Rennar's eyes, though she quickly quells it, lest it ruin any further chances at 'talking' with her brother. "Well, I am glad you survived that. You know my views on marriage, and where I stand."
"Your safety is assured here, I'm certian of it Lord Kelric," Demonder reassures, clearly enjoying the young man's tale. "So you are in fit shape then, having to keep offering Lady Orella a good chase." While he once again turns to Maridon, and a few others that pass by, he seems to relax once more.
Kelric scowls a bit more, "I admire your confidence Lord Demonder, but you have not met Lady Orella. The first town we passed outside of Shienar there was a message /waiting/ for me, enquiring when I would be returning and stating there was a young woman I just /had/ to meet. I don't know how she managed that..but she did." He glances appreciatively at his sister, she having just basically told him she will not throw him to the wolves.
Again, that amusement touches Rennar's eyes. She raises a hand to cover her mouth, coughing slightly. She steps a little closer to Demonder, taking comfort in his presense. "I'm sure you handled things well, Kelric. What other news have you from the border front?"
Demonder's large hand easily slips across Rennar's back, lightly rubbing one shoulder before skidding across to the ohter side to hug her tightly against his broad chest. The motion is brief, though he casually keeps his hand on her shoulder. "That indeed sounds tortureous. I do hear House Roesone is despirate to arrange a marriage within House Hune or House Versyr. Something about their noble blood thinning... I wouldn't understand why though." Demonder's expression is mockingly dramatic.
Sev cocks an eyebrow, just looking amused and glad to see another family member....
The glow in Meridon's pipe fades slowly, and a last wisp of smoke rises above his head. He clenches the bit between his teeth all the same, and continues to lean against the fence.
Kelric takes a step back away from Demonder. "Don't get any ideas Demonder." he remarks with a grimace, suddenly looking even more tired.
Alwyne walks through the large iron gates, entering from the Inner City.
Meridon leans against the fence near the Gatehouse, morose and absorbed in his own little world.
Taking a look around the park, Rennar's eyes do touch upon Meridon once more briefly. She nods her head in response to Demonder's words, "The lineage to the throne is counted through Ishara's bloodlines, matrilineal. That is why I am Daughter-Heir. I am the one with the most bloodlines to Queen Ishara. It's counted from mother to daughter. So, if the men of House Roesone have been marrying outside of Andor...." She lets her voice fade quietly, "Well, that thins the blood a bit. Those of female heritage have little worry or concern, their place in Andor has already been set by their own mothers."
Alwyne makes her way down the path, steps unhurried, sharp eyes carefully taking in her surroundings.
Sev looks as Alwyne approaches.
Demonder chuckles with the dramatics of Kelric's retreat, assuming the young man is all but joking. "I would not concern yourself with the matter," he states then, lazidly waving his hand in the air. With Rennar's words, Demonder simply offers a modest grin. "I hardly know what their plans are half the time. Though I do hope I will be able to walk out of the manor without a Guard attempting to question me for my ties to House Roesone." More dramatics in exaggeration.
Alwyne approaches the group, stepping lightly around a small branch lying on the path.
Sev offers a little bow to Alwyne as she approaches, and mentions to Demonder... "A Queen's favour is good to have... Not an easy thing for ROesone under the recent dreadful circumstances...
Alwyne gives Sev a small nod, and a faint smile.
Rennar gently squeezes Demonder's shoulder, "I don't think you'll have any problems with the Queen, love. There's more than a few people at House Hune who can attest that you were in the kitchens eatting Genette's cooking when the body was discovered." There's a light, teasing grin upon Rennar's features as she regards her husband. In such dire circumstances, she has to provide some humor.
Kelric seems somewhat appeased towards Demonder as he makes it clear he has no designs on marrying Kelric off. He listens to the rest of this with interest however. "Body?" Having arrived that very day, he has not heard this bit of news. "What body?"
Alwyne steps up to join the conversation. "Really, it was quite terrible...not exactly something of which one might wish to list details..." She inclines her head in greeting to those present.
Demonder peers suspiciously at the jab Rennar offers him, Demonder lightly bumping his hip against hers. That lighter tone fades, especially at the mention of the body and Alwyne's noting the details. "An Aes Sedai was murdered with a dagger marked with the crest of House Roesone."
Alwyne steps up to join the conversation. "Really, it was quite terrible...not exactly something of which one might wish to list details..." She inclines her head in greeting to those present. (repose)
Meridon at last pushes himself away from the iron fence, and, with an explosive gesture, he plucks the dead pipe from his mouth and flings it as far away as he can. With his brow furrowed stormily, he clenches his jaw and marches away from the Gatehouse.
Alwyne glances over at the vehement motions, frowning slightly.
Meridon walks east, heading out to Caemlyn's Inner City.
Only glancing away from Meridon briefly, Rennar nods her head, "Aye. Not something I would wish on any person..." She lets her voice trail as her attentin goes back to the mysterious, unknown man. At his disappearance, she blinks faintly, a toughtful expression coming to her lips, "He seems very... angry." The comment is more to herself, though her voice remains concerned.
Alwyne looks at Rennar, her expression also somewhat thoughtful, and murmurs, "Yes, he does."
Kelric listens to this exchange between Rennar, Demonder, and Alwyne rather quietly. He looks a bit disgusted however as the details emerge even in sketch form.
Shaking her head a bit, Rennar looks back to Kelric, more interested in her newly returned brother. A warm smile touches her lips as she appears to grow more at ease with his presense, "Tell me, Kelric, did anything else interesting happen while you were in Shienar?" Carefully, she smoothes some of the wrinkles within her skirts, trusting her hands not to shake now that she's calmed some.
Sev says "Alwyne, you must remember Our kinsman Kelric?"
Demonder nods thoughtfully to the words exchanged, though settles his arm more around Rennar's shoulders as the conversation shifts.
Sev says "Kelric Hune, Alwyne Sedai..."
Alwyne inclines her head slightly. "I do..."
Rennar glances back to Alwyne and Sev, regarding her bonded cousins consideringly. "He has been away for a few years. A trip I hope to hear more about." A light smile touches her eyes, "Some parts already sound quite interesting. I'm hoping time in Shienar has refined him some." With the last, she looks upon her brother in a fond, sisterly manner.
'Not much of importance to any but me." Kelric remarks, "Excepting perhaps the fires in Fal Moran." Of course the items of importance to himself are likely the ones Rennar will find interesting, if only because they have led to a softening of her brother's attitudes. He gives Rennar the /oh please sis/ look though as she brings it up out loud. "Hello." Kelric nods slightly in the Sedai's direction as Sev makes a short introduction.
Alwyne raises one eybrow slightly at his casual manner, but doesn't say anything, for the moment content to observe.
Rennar looks thoughtful a moment, then murmurs quietly, "What have I been thinking. You must want to rest and get yourself settled. If you wish, Demonder and I can walk with you back to Tiras Lorn, unless you've other pressing matters to attend." Her eyes likely go off in the same direction the other rider rode off in that accompanied Kelric to the arboretum.
Demonder's hand slowly slips off Rennar's shoulder to rub at her back lightly. "Indeed. If you've just returned from your journey, I'm certain you're craving Genette's cooking." Demonder's eyes gleam, as though he might be doing just the same. The way he rubs his stomach might be another obvious sign.
Sev glances to Rennar as if to ask if that's a cue that he and Alwyne should find something else to do...
Alwyne says "I have something I must attend to,"
Gently, Rennar bumps Demonder in the side at his belly rubbing. "I'm certain Genette can find you something to eat, however Demonder's just announced he's going on a diet." A wide grin crosses Rennar's features as an impish gaze comes into her eyes. Spying Sev's glance out of the corner of her eye, she gives a small shake of her head to signify that's not needed.
Alwyne says "I have something I must attend to,"
Kelric's eyes involuntarily follow his sister's eyes, and then return as he realises to what she likely refers. "No.. you are right. I am very tired. I pressed hard to make Caemlyn early today." His hand goes to the neck of his brown and white blotched pony and pats it lightly. "Vashkish would like a nice stall and some hay to eat I suspect." The blond lordling brushes off the front of his shirt, suddenly noticing it is dusty, showing forth a bit of fastidiousness.
Sev nods, "Well, cousins... I must be off as well.. Perhaps tomorrow, Kelric, we might raise a tankard?
"I have something I must attend to," Alwyne says, "However, I will hopefully be able to stop by Tiras Lorn in the future. Perhaps I will speak further with you, Kelric."
"Light Illume," Demonder manages to the leaving pair, while his eyes are still wide. "Genette would simply not allow that," he concludes, that stated in a great deal of confidence as he watches Rennar... pondering how serious she's being.
Nodding her head at touch, Rennar offers both Sev and Alwyne a softened smile, "Light shine, cousins. Have a pleasant evening." Her eyes go to Kelric once more, pausing before she answers him. "Then we will get you straight to Tiras Lorn, so you can bed down Vashkisk, or have one of the stable hands do so."
Kelric smiles a bit at both, looking very much like the 19 year old he is. "Perhaps we might, cousin, And yes, as you wish Sedai. Light Shine." He manages not to snort at the banter between Rennar and Demonder.
Sev nods.
Alwyne nods and turns to begin making her way up the path.
Sev does as well, giving Kelric a playful wink and a bow for the nobles all.
Alwyne pauses for a moment to wait for Sev to catch up, then begins conversing with him softly as the pair make their way out of the Arboretum.
Alwyne walks east, heading out to Caemlyn's Inner City.
Sev walks east, heading out to Caemlyn's Inner City.
"Shall we," Demonder outstreches his arm toward the direction of the manor, moving his free arm about Rennar's. "Have you been eager to return home?" he asks Kelric as they start back.
"Let us go, if we are all ready then. Perhaps along the way we can fill you in more about the happenings of Andor," Rennar offers to Kelric as she starts to move toward the exit.
Kelric takes the lead of his horse and turns to lead it along. Walking is good. He backside has suffered from the saddle a bit, the longer he's been out of it. "Oh yes, you have no idea how much." Kelric responds to Demonder, and then adds for Rennar's sake, "I suppose much has happened in my absence. A few things I have heard, but not surprisingly, Shienar does not turn around the scene in Andor."
"It is good to have you back. House Hune is certainly in need of its blood." Demonder would sound hopeful in that, hopeful that Kelric has indeed gotten better from that glass-throwing tantrum stage.
Demonder walks east, heading out to Caemlyn's Inner City.
Rennar leaves with Demonder.
Caembarin Boulevard: Inner City, Caemlyn
The Inner City of Caemlyn is built upon the highest peaking hills, surrounded by a fortified wall built of polished granite with gleaming white marble inlays. One can look down over the gentle slopes of the rest of the city from the many vantage points along the wall. The streets have been crafted to follow the natural contours of the hills, and are paved in silver-streaked gray. A large park-like area lies to the western edge of the walled Inner City.
The streets of the Inner City are quiet now, with only a few citizens enjoying the lush landscape of the park. Dead leaves of red, yellow and brown are being swept around by mild autumnal breezes. A white stone-paved road leads to the south, winding uphill, and its twin leads off to the east. To the north lies Origan Gate, which leads into the New City.
Demonder, Sev, Alwyne
Rennar arrives with Demonder.
Alwyne are further down the street, still walking.
Kelric walks out past the large iron gates leading into the Arboretum.
Yasmeen enters the wide, park area from Crown of Roses Avenue, to the east.
Morganth arrives with Yasmeen.
Sev walks along, his presence not really immediately obvious...
Yasmeen exits to the north, walking through the gates of the Inner City.
Morganth leaves with Yasmeen.
Alwyne exits to the north, walking through the gates of the Inner City.
Sev leaves with Alwyne.
Celesia enters the wide, park area from Crown of Roses Avenue, to the east.
Aura arrives with Celesia.
Celesia nods a hasty greeting to those assembled and lead Aura quickly away.
Celesia follows the curving white stone road up the hill to the south.
Aura leaves with Celesia.
Demonder follows Crown of Roses Avenue to the east, following the gently-sloping hill.
Rennar leaves with Demonder.
Crown of Roses Avenue: Inner City, Caemlyn
This portion of the Inner City is filled with large structures of gleaming white stone, roofed in tiles of purple, red and azure. White walls divide small expanses of lush lawn, and golden domes and tall spires rise to the heavens.
The sounds of crickets chirping and laughter from a nearby inn interrupt the quiet of twilight. Leaves of gold, red and brown are blown through the streets of the Inner City by chill autumn breezes. The fragrant scent of a fire burning fills the air. White Lion Way, a narrow street paved in white stone, leads off to the southwest, and Crown of Roses Avenue, also paved in white stone, leads to the west.
Demonder
Rennar arrives with Demonder.
Kelric comes up the gently-sloping hill from the west, following Crown of Roses Avenue.
Demonder pulls open the gate to the manor and enters the courtyard.
Rennar leaves with Demonder.
Courtyard Gardens: Tiras Lorn, Caemlyn(#4075RJM$)
Large white stone surrounds the courtyard of House Hune. Set into the western wall is the gate, leading out of the manor. The manor house itself lies to the east. A large marble portico runs down the middle of the courtyard in a north/south direction, effectively dividing the large yard in half. It is large enough to hold several wagons, and contains the stables in the northwest corner. The half of the yard closest to the manor house is contained by the portico which runs along the courtyard walls as well, and connect to the house. This creates a covered walkway to protect you from the elements; shade from the sun, and a roof to keep off rain and snow. The ground here is paved with stone, with only a few weeds growing up here and there. In the center of the paved area is a square flower garden.
Demonder
Rennar arrives with Demonder.
Kelric pulls open the gate and comes in from the path.
The partially repaired gates provide entrance for the three. "I hardly see reason to be concerned over my weight. I'm perfectly healthy..." Demonder continues to insist. Beyond his obvious muscles, the man is strong, his stomach does seem to pudge out a little more each month, and its not for the lack of training.
Kelric has amused himself listening to this all the way home, Demonder's protest being quite humorous. He's remarked little, increasing tiredness setting in and giving him less energy for conversation. He restrains himself from remarking that Demonder's appetite may well bankrupt the house, but the thought is expressed in a smirk.
Almost too innocently, Rennar murmurs quietly, "One would almost think that you were the one to become pregnant, Demonder." She takes her hand away from her husband at that, moving to enter inside the manor before he does something to retaliate.
Demonder stops dead in his tracks in that comment, and then mutters under his breath. "I think I'm going to go train..." He certainly will, Demonder offering Rennar a brief kiss on the cheek before heading for the practise field.
