Summary:Rennar once again tries to meet with the Queen, this time finding her alone admiring her gardens. They discuss matters involving the Shadowspawn and Darkfriends that have been showing up in the city.

Palace Courtyard: Royal Palace of Andor, Caemlyn
A large, wide-open courtyard surrounds the breathtaking beauty of the Royal
Palace of Andor. The pale beauty of the famed Ogier stonework, its high
terraces and balconies and golden domes making your eye travel higher and
higher to see more. The courtyard is very austere, with well-tended patches of
lawn offsetting the stark white of the paving stones.
Groups of Queen's Guards march in precise step upon the white stone of the
Courtyard. Their red undercoats and long white collars are immaculately clean.
The warm breeze brings the scent of roses on the air. Their heavy scent
completely permeates the air here, creating an exotic feel. The massive, double
doors to the Palace are guarded by a small group of Queen's Guards. A small
path paved in white stone leads off to the west, and the great gates lead back
out into the Queen's Plaza.

Aislynn

Aislynn sits upon a white stone bench, contentedly looking at her roses in
bloom. A number of Guards stand nonchalantly off to the side, making their
presence known but not overbearing.

Elegantly, almost demurely, Rennar arrives through the main gates of the
palace. She smiles pleasantly at the Guards keeping watch, even going so far as
to greeting one by name - having talked to him about some such at one time or
another. Upon spying the Queen within her domain, she gives a low half bow,
mixed with a curtsey as is befitting of one who wears the Rose Crown. "Your
Majesty." Rennar greets in a warm and congenial manner, but does not rise until
acknowledged.

Glancing away from her roses at the sound of the voice, Aislynn turns, slowly
rising to her feet, inclining her head and smiling in warm greeting. "Good day,
Rennar. I had hoped you would soon come back to see me, as our last meeting was
unfortunately interrupted." She smoothes her skirts before again sitting down,
waving a slender, pale hand toward a seat nearby. "Won't you please have a
seat? What brings you here this day?"

"Matters that I had wished to discuss with you last time, Queen Aislynn."
Having had so much time pass between since they've really had any time to talk,
as friends or as Queen to her patrons, Rennar looks a bit uncertain of things
for a few moments, casting a small glance about the yard, "But as you mentioned
we were disrupted." There appears to be a worried expression upon her features,
though it's hard to say what has put it there.

Aislynn takes a glance around, too, and motions for you to scoot closer. Her
brow creases in concern--for one friend to another--and she murmurs discreetly,
"Is there trouble? I had heard there was some cause for disruption within your
House, but have not heard anything since I arrived in Caemlyn." She offers a
friendly smile, adding: "I did not wish to pry, and last you were here, there
were so many ears about..."

Sadr enters the courtyard through the sally-port in the great gates.

The young noble woman moves closer as beckoned, quite readily it appears. Her
expression goes somewhat more grave than before, "My uncle Jeffrin has
returned, but that is my matter alone to deal with. He is causing some what of
a stir, but... that is not why I am here." Rennar raises a hand and pushes a
few strands of auburn hair from her features. Easily she takes a seat,
smoothing over her skirts delicate as she does so. "In part it has to deal with
some disturbing rumors that I have been hearing, and Mistress Maggae."

The quirking of a pale brow shows that the young Queen's interest is sorely
peaked. "Mistress Maggae again...It would seem that woman is going to plague
Andorans even while she is not here." She tilts her head to one side curiously,
inquiring, "What rumors do you speak of, Rennar? And please tell me of
your...concern...with Mistress Maggae. I had some myself, and perhaps still do,
although her explanations while she was here seemed sound enough."

There is a small pause of silence while Rennar collects her thoughts, "Some I
have touched upon briefly in my missive to you." Another silence permeates the
air, and briefly Rennar looks uncomfortable, "And, while I am not certain, I
believe that she might be a danger."

In a lowered voice, Aislynn replies, "In danger of falling to the Dark? If that
is what you mean, I, myself, have seen evidence of it in Tar Valon. She claims
she is a hunter of Darkfriends, and that those of that persuasion sorely pursue
her in an attempt to sway her to their cause." She shakes her head, causing her
golden-red hair to sway about her shoulders. "I did believe her when she told
me this in my chambers: she seemed so honest and in earnest." A small sigh
before the Queen continues: "You did mention something in your missive about
her letting known criminals go free? Can you elaborate upon that?
Unfortunately, my attentions were directed elsewhere while I was in Tar
Valon..."

"My bodyguard, Master Halice, can tell you a bit more of such things. He is the
one that passed the information to myself. He can be trusted, I believe, or
else I would not have him in my employ." Rennar comments, "He witnessed her
holding innocent people, while others who were known criminals were allowed to
go free, or something of the sort." Rennar pauses, once more looking a bit
uncomfortable, "I cannot explain why, exactly, I believe her to be dangerous...
I just know it somehow." The way she speaks with such certainty is enough to
give pause. "I think she might end up killing someone, but I can't say for
sure."

Aislynn blinks, taken aback. Ever expressive for the long time you have known
her, Aislynn evidently has not mastered that Aes Sedai serenity and
expressionless. As a Green, she well may never do so. "Did you know she is
Ta'Veren? This news does not bode well...she will -kill- someone?" Not
surprisingly, the young Queen does not pursue the subject of how you 'feel'
this. As a student of the Tower, she knows well that such things are not
completely out of the realms of possibility.

VIEWING OF AISLYNN: You see the vision of Aislynn...about 10 years older than
she is now, with three male children--no females. One of the male children, the
eldest, has a brilliant light around him.

"I am aware. Mistress Narine of House Roesone has bestowed me with that
knowledge, and I hold other sources of information as well." Rennar answers in
a rather careful manner, pressing her lips together tightly, "I believe she
will, but as I said before, I am not entirely certain of it. It is... hard to
exp-" Suddenly Rennar's voice cuts off and her eyes widen. Almost immediately
she lowers them for some reason or another, then finishes her sentence,
"explain."

Aislynn's lips thin into somewhat of a grimace at the mention of Narine. She
blinks at your hesitation, curiosity blazing in her glacial blue eyes, but does
not pry. "I see...Perhaps I should not have been too hasty in trusting Mistress
Maggae very far."

Rennar speaks in a more reseved voice, though does not look up. "It is no
secret that I do not trust her at all. I still marvel at how the High
Councillor of Tar Valon can have her in his employ in good conscience."

Aislynn nods, her face pensive, although you are not looking at her at the
moment. "I see..." she says, carefully. "Is there something you wish me to do
about this?"

"I wished to keep you informed, for I felt it was something that needed your
attention, and in part... I wished to further explain why I was not at your
homecoming." Rennar comments, fiddling with wrinkle in her dress. Still, she
does not look up, as if disturbed by something. "There is another thing.... I
wished to know if the rumors were true about the entrance of darkfriends and
fades in the city?"

Aislynn nods, her face taking on a dark look. "Yes...unfortunately, it is too
true. There were three Fades, and a band of about twenty or more
bandits...probably some of which were Darkfriends." She makes a gargling of
absolute hatred in the back of her throat before adding: "One of which was
Jaelinn, formerly of House Li'Thrain."

Rennar looks up briefly, nodding in a gentle manner, "I remember her." She
speaks, though without the vehemence that Aislynn shows. She dares to look up a
bit more, eyes scanning the Queen in a gentle manner. A cringe of worry tinges
her eyes, "I have this dour feeling that the road we travel will only get
harder." She sighs deeply, turning her eyes toward the roses. Odd, how she
includes both the Aislynn and she in her last cryptic comment.

Aislynn tilts her head curiously to one side, looking quite concerned, but
again does not pry into what makes you so sure. "There is...some small amount
of unrest here...and I have had disturbing news from Jarrue Sedai about the
Children on the march from Tar Valon, headed South...with some sort of
ter'angreal that renders the One Power useless for a certain radius."
