Summary:Later the same evening that Lord Daric asks to stay within House Hune, does Lord Demonder come searching out his fiance after she did not attend the Rosesone open house. Disappointed, he confronts her on the matter, and Rennar reveals she knows what's happened between Daric and Roesone, and that she's offered him shelter. This starts a fight between both Rennar and Demonder, and eventually leads into their impromptu wedding ceremony within House Roesone's open house, much to the surprise of all who attended.

Courtyard Gardens: Tiras Lorn, Caemlyn

Large white stone surrounds the courtyard of House Hune. Set into the western wall is the gate, leading out of the manor. The manor house itself lies to the east. A large marble portico runs down the middle of the courtyard in a north/south direction, effectively dividing the large yard in half. It is large enough to hold several wagons, and contains the stables in the northwest corner. The half of the yard closest to the manor house is contained by the portico which runs along the courtyard walls as well, and connect to the house. This creates a covered walkway to protect you from the elements; shade from the sun, and a roof to keep off rain and snow. The ground here is paved with stone, with only a few weeds growing up here and there. In the center of the paved area is a square flower garden.

Demonder pulls open the gate and comes in from the path.

Rennar can be found not too far away from the main gates. She appears to be peacefully resting upon one of the many benches within her own gardens, reading a book which is laid out upon her lap. She seems almost relaxed, as she flips through the pages in a casual manner.

The gates open to reveal Lord Demonder, still dressed in the richly silk shirt and gleaming dark purple cloak that he had worn to the festivities at House Roesone. But by now, his shirt is already unbuttoned at least have the way down. Without wasting time, Demonder makes his way quickly to Rennar. "Renni..." With everything that happened this night, he doesn't seem upset by the least, but distracted.

Rennar glances up from her book, a brow lifting cooly as she regards Demonder, "Good evening, Demonder." She comments quietly, eyes going briefly to her house then back to the Lord.'

Demonder pauses before taking a seat next to Rennar. There's a brief distant look in his eyes before he turns his body more to his intended. "I was disappointed that a dozen of House Roesone guards were not of suitable escort." Demonder had very well known that he had exaddurated the number of guards he sent, in hopes it would give her no other choice but to accompany him for dinner.

"Even an arrow can get through a dozen guards, Demonder." Rennar speaks in a patient voice as she addresses her intended, watching him in a quiet manner. "I had a visitor."

Demonder's eyes trail across the ground ahead, as though he'd be watching for the footsteps of the visitor. It is clear that Demonder doesn't like this one bit, but he tries to exhibit a demonstration of patience. This act strains him to no end. "A visitor?" Demonder questions. (repose)

Rennar inclines her head gently, "Aye, a visitor." She comments, shifting her book from her lap to the other side of the bench. "Actually, two, but the second would be the one you'd be most interested in. Lord Daric."

Demonder almost relaxes into his his sitting position, but after there is mention of the Lord that caused him grave embarrassment at the open-house, he stands erect and turns to face Rennar. "By the Light! He did what? Here?" Demonder's shock is evident, that he would even consider approaching Rennar.

"Actually," Rennar continues in a smooth, calm tone of voice, "He asked for sanctuary within this very house." She regards Demonder with quiet eyes.

At first Demonder was stunned that the Lord of Roesone nearly stripped of his title would approach his intended, and that he'd ask for the aid of Lady Hune sets him off on the next level. It's not without effort that his eyes cool, as he nods his head. "Lord Daric embarrassed House Roesone among those of the Tower and the First Prince, Renni. He spoke of those Tower trained as servants of the Dark One." Demonder can't exactly read what Rennar's resolve over the request of sanctuary, though he can assume it with her not saying otherwise. "Lady Cathryn nearly lost conciousness because of his tone toward her..." Demonder takes a deep breath, closing his eyes as both hands brush through his eyes and cheek. "Please tell me you didn't grant his request."

The tight thinning of her lips at Demonder's further words upon the matter seems to be answer enough for Rennar. "Indeed, I did. He said he had a falling out that caused him his home for a short while, but not anything as harsh as all that." Of course, at the time Rennar did not delve too deeply upon the matter. "And he seemed to think that my not going resounded in deafening ways that I no longer support Roesone, despite the fact that I am marrying willingly into the House."

"Renni..." Demonder's tone is pleading, his eyes going moist as he turns away sharply, and then back again to face her. "Why would you accept a man that said he had a falling out with House Roesone? No matter how vague on details he was?" The questions are forced out, Demonder looking at Rennar with a sense of disbelief.

"The man is a Child of the Light, Demonder. Would you rather he skulk about the streets where he cannot be watched?" Rennar counters, lifting a brow back at her fiance, "Or under eyes who will know his every move and encounter to and from a place they can keep an eye on?"

"I'd rather that man not be under your roof!" Demonder's exclaimation is clear. The young lord can't seem to stand in one place, as he begins pacing erratically in front of her. Then he stops, turning to Rennar. "I can't think House Roesone would see this as you doing us a favor," he announces with little authority of what House Roesone would think.

"Perhaps I am not doing you a favor, but looking out for the interests of my own House. It is, afterall, a bit odd that he came here in the first place, by my accounting. I can't help but think he is up to something." Rennar sighs deeply as she watches Demonder pacing, "The fact of the matter is, he is already under my roof, and agreed to my terms, surprisingly enough. Should he violate any of them, he will be out of here. From his attitudes, I do not think he will last more than a day or so, at best. He is much like Pitor in his observations toward commoners."

There's a lengthy silence, Demonder never exactly looking at Rennar. "I don't know what to think..." Demonder expresses with hurt as much as everything else within his voice. "Renni, do you understand, I thought Cathryn was going to die because of what he did! You should have seen it, right in front of the Prince and Gaidin Nicodemus, Daric started calling Aes Sedai witches! He called them Darkfriends, and shadowspawn." Demonder takes a deep breath. "You'll let a man like that underneath your roof?"

"If it means the added survival of both your Houes and mine with whatever information I may glean from him in the meantime, yes." Rennar states with no outward remorse for her actions. "Or, do we have to go into this discussion again after 'Lady Sadi' was allowed within the House?'

At least Rennar makes a good point with the last statement, as this is no different. Well, it actually pales in comparison to allowing Sadi within her House, the woman that ordered Demonder dead in the alley (not that he knows that, of course). Demonder tries to comprehend what she's saying, and then shakes his head. "You harbor the worst elements within your manor, but you refuse to allow me to stay within your house as your husband." The statement is said with a sense of numbness, Demonder's eyes pleading with her for something unspecified.

This does cause Rennar to raise her brow slightly. "We are married....?" She inquires, pressing her lips together in a thin line.

Demonder takes a deep breath, this time clearly frustrated. "I'd assume we would be married before you took me into your manor as your husband." Demonder, lifts his hands in the air and tosses them against his legs, the slapping noise of little comfort as his expression looks like chaos itself in comparison to her well maintained features.

"Do you truely wish to be married, right this very minute, with everything that is going on?" Rennar asks, a quiet calm entering her voice as her expression cools over.

"No," Demonder finally responds faintly. "No." He repeats again. "At your distress I'd be the first to hold you, Renni. To insure your safe. When I come to you near tears in being upset..." his hand lifts to Rennar's cold expression. "When you love someone, there is pain within when the other feels pain. You show nothing." It's a conclusion Demonder is surprised to speak, his manner not looking any for the better.

And here, just when Renanr was about to offer him the solution to all his problems nad furstrations about not being allowed into the House because he was not her husband, he rejects it. There is more than a marginal display of surprise upon her features as she regards Demonder, though Rennar simply gives a small nod of the head, "Very well, then... That matter is settled." She comments, her words growing quiet.

"What's settled?" It comes out in a near scream, though just at the outburst he takes a heavy breath of air and calms. "Tell me what's settled, because I have no more clue of how you feel of me then why you take in enemies into your house." Demonder clearly loves her, the matter of him pleading like before, for something, and that something includes ignoring the logical reason why she'd say the matter is settled.

Quietly, Rennar regards Demonder, not letting her emotions get in the way of things. "I just asked you if you wanted to be married, right now. You said no." She gives a small shrug of her shoulders, "What more was there to say, than just that it was settled?"

"You harbor..." Demonder's voice trails away at his next outburst of words, the lord trying to make some sense of what she's telling him. That's, of course, when he stops. At the realization. "To make an offering of immidiate marriage..." Demonder begins, taking another deep breath. "That wasn't an offer, that was a setup waiting for me to say no," Demonder concludes.

"Actually, I fully expected you to say yes... however you said no." Rennar comments, shrugging her shoulder. She regards Demonder quietly, "Do you wish to change your answer?"

Demonder doesn't answer right-away, his mind thinking without able to grasp at any thoughts. It is a shaking of his world equivelent to that of an earthquake throughout ever set of land upon the planet. At this point his red eyes near closer to tears, but it is at that moment that Demonder seizes control of himself. It is as much an affect as though someone were to rip the manner of him off from his back. Demonder goes down to one knee, really only wanting to love this woman that sits before him, though now he's at a greater state of confusion then ever. "You will marry me tonight?"

Rennar regards Demonder with that cool calm, keeping her emotions back as she sees the display put before her. She is not cold, just cool, uncertain of what to do or say next lest it lead to another fight, or another battle between the two, "If it would put your mind at ease to be at my side, and protect me, and simply be there in my hour of need...." She comments, then adds, "Would I make such an offer would I not mean it ?"

In those simple words Demonder finds all that he needs. She's stating everything that he feels, arranged all the choatic thoughts within him in a statement that makes clear and perfect sense. "Yes, that is what I want." Demonder is almost surprised that Rennar does understand what he's been saying all along. At the thought of marriage to the woman he loves, everything else seems to pale away. "You understand?" More words of wonder, before he shakes that away too. "Yes, I wish to marry you tonight."

The coolness she was harboring fades away slightly, though not completely, "Then it shall be done." Rennar's voice seems to hold a firm note upon her words, "Are there members of your family still within your manor?"

"Last I left Lord Turail was left in charge," Demonder explains slowly, not certain what she has planned. "I doubt he would have left. Lady Cathryn rests in her chambers. I'm not certain if anyone else is left."

Raising from her seat, Rennar offers Demonder her hand, "Then I will release myself from my vow not to leave, just this once, to make this happen tonight." She waits calmly for Demonder to take her own hand.

Demonder takes her hand, though clearly without any understanding of what is to happen next. "We're going there?"

Rennar inclines her head, "Indeed, we are." She quietly speaks, then leads the way toward the gates.

You push open the heavy gate and walk into the street.

Rennar leads Demonder through the streets of Caemlyn until they get to the House Roesone residence...

Great Hall: Roesone Manor, Caemlyn

Neri
Emos
Turail
Brannon
Althea

Demonder comes in from the courtyard.

Leading Demonder into the Roesone Manor, Lady Rennar Hune does finally manage to show up. She walks right into the thick of things, eyes peering about. "Lord Demonder and I have an announcement to make." She comments, her expression half-way cool. She waits to get the attention of the others within the room before continuing.

Brannon follows shortly after Althea and offers Turail a small bow, "It was a wonderful evening, m'lord." Yep. That wine loosened him up nicely.

Turail turns from surveying the servants at work as his name is said to look in the direction of the voice addressing him. "Yes? You are Althea, are you not?" His attention is almost immediately snagged by the nearby entrance of Rennar and Demonder however.

Emos looks toward Lady Rennar curiously.

Althea opens her mouth as if to say something more to Turail and then turns to Lady Rennar.

Indeed, Lord Demonder is the one that is lead within the Great Hall, not the other way around. Anguish still plays upon his features, and surprise as Rennar demands the attention of the room.

Brannon turns to regard Rennar, hoping that Althea's curiosity is as great as his own concerning this announcement.

Once Rennar is certain she has everyone's attention, she glances to Demonder briefly before going on, "Tonight, before all present, with witnesses to make this a legally binding matter, I take Lord Demonder Roesone as my husband, to watch over me and protect me, to love and to cherish." She probably had more she could say, but cut it short for propriety's sake, and the fact that this is a small, and rather surprising ceremony.

Emos scoots to the edge of his chair, looking shocked at what is playing out.

Neri's eyes widen slightly as she turns her attention to the entering couple. She scoots back into the crowd, making herself blend into the wall as any wallflower would normally do, and watches the act played out before her.

Althea gapes openly, then recovers quickly enough to pick her jaw up and smile warmly.

Turail appears to be watching Demonder for some reason, his thumb characterisitically resting on the edge of his belt buckle.

Brannon blinks for a few moments. Well, that was certainly unexpected.

Demonder decides its in his best interest to follow his Lady's lead, which apparently did really mean it when she said they'd get married "right now." Demonder turns to Rennar in a hesitation as he considered the strange events that lead to this. "And Tonight before those present, I take Lady Rennar Hune as my wife. To protect. To watch-over in sickness and in health. But most of all, to love and cherish with all my being."

Emos slips out of the chair, landing silently on the floor, but remains there as not to disturb the service.

Althea grins and looks over at Brannon, then quickly looks back at the couple.

A bit of concern does flash over Neri's features as she spies the young boy fall from his chair. A quick glance at him ensures that he is not overly injured. Her eyes do go back to the couple, who seems to be possessed by something, though she simply remains quiet, observing the reactions of others around her. She does seem to recognize both Lord Demonder, whom she's met briefly within Tar Valon, and Lady Rennar, whom she's met at various Andoran social functions at one time or another.

Althea remains standing near the doors, bear Turail and Brannon, watching and listening to Rennar and Demonder.

Brannon is standing near Turail and Althea, watching and listening to Rennar and Demonder.

Rennar is standing not far from Demonder, looking as though they just arrived, and had a very important announcement. She nods her head at his words, allowing a faint touch of a smile to break her cool demeanor. "Then, it is done." She comments.

Emos is watching Demonder and Rennar from under the table in the center of the room.

Caenna makes her way in behind the pair, a smile playing her her face. She looks far happier then she did previously.

Althea smiles and begins applauding Rennar and Demonder.

Demonder looks into Rennar's eyes for the longest of time before nodding. "It's done." Oh heck, Demonder clearly is as much shocked as he is married.

Upon offering the applause, Althea turns back to Turail, smiling gently and curtseying once more, "Lord Turail?" she murmurs softly while the other guest probably swarm in around Demonder and Rennar to offer congratulations, "I just wanted to offer my apologies for my outburst tonight. It is really unlike me to behave to horridly," she curtseys again.

Emos realizing all is done, he moves to stand. In the process, he ends up hitting his head on the table and falls again. He sets his right hand on the ground to brace his fall, but pulls it back up as soon as it hits and ends up falling back onto the floor, only not so quietly or painlessly as last time.

Turail smiles at the young accepted and just shakes his head. "Tempers were high. It simply wasn't a good situation. Think nothing of it. It is forgotten." He makes his way to Rennar and Demonder and hugs both, offering short congratulations before disappearing off somewhere else to either take care of other items of duty or something else and is not seen again for quite a while.

Althea heads out herself, after offering Demonder and Rennar her congratulations.

Althea exits to the courtyard through the high doors.

Caenna adds her own congratulations, and looks over at Brannon.

Brannon follows Althea out, offering his congratulations as well. He nods to Caenna, "Good night, Caenna, I'm going back to the Inn as I'm afraid I had a bit too much wine this evening and I need to go sleep it off."

Caenna says "I'll come with you, if you don't mind?"

Rennar turns her attention more fully on Demonder, as the guests congratulate them, and the like. "Does that suffice, Demonder?" She inquires of the man she just informally, but quite legally, married.

The music of from the band continues to play, as servants continue to serve drinks. It is getting later, and the night is calming in atmosphere. Guests slowly begin to make their departures.

Brannon smiles to Caenna, "Of course not."

Neri moves away from her spot upon the wall, and toward the exit. There's a time to be a wallflower, and there' sa time to just simply go. She does the latter, making her way for the exit.

Caenna's smile is strained. "Lead the way then."

"It does," Demonder answers her question with a sence of bewildering. "I'd not think you were serious until the second time...." There's no need to explain now. Then he simply reaches for the back of her neck, and tugs her to him with a kiss.

Emos pulls himself off the ground and works his way toward the newlyweds. He seems to be hiding his right hand behind his back as he approaches them, smiling through what loosk like pain.

Brannon exits to the courtyard through the high doors.

Caenna exits to the courtyard through the high doors.

Emos stops walking and turns his back to the two quickly.

Rennar does kiss Demonder, though it is short and sweet. There are others looking and within the room afterall. "Good." She comments, then glances to those about the room.

Emos realizes that as he turned his back, it exposed his obviously injured hand to the one he tries to hide it from. He turns back just as quickly as he turned away, smiling innocently.

Demonder watches the sight of many of the guest leave, though accepted congrats from those that offer it. The yound lord is now married, clearly brought here by Rennar for that purpose. Demonder leads Rennar more to the side, and looks to her. "You're trouble, you know that?" he asks, half-amused and half not.

Rennar glances back at Demonder, "You are just now realizing that." She chuckles, though Emos's rather odd actions are caught this time, as some of her tension seems to start pouring from her features into something of a more relaxes state, "And what have you been doing with yourself?" She inquires, having not noticed his antics of where he injured himself under the table.

Demonder clearly had his attention focused on Rennar, and he's not very observant to begin with. Though at the question Rennar gives, he does turn to Emos with bright eyes. "Young Emos! I had not seen you here?" Again, he's very unobservant.

Emos as best he can with his one good hand, he writes a small message and shows it to Lady Rennar 'Meeting new people.'

Reading the letter, Rennar nods, though holds a note of suspicion, "And...?" She comments quietly, watching the young boy with a gentle manner.

Demonder watches the exchange between Rennar and Emos in confusion.

Neri exits to the courtyard through the high doors.

Reading the letter, Rennar nods, though holds a note of suspicion, "And...?" She comments quietly, watching the young boy with a gentle manner.

Demonder watches the exchange between Rennar and Emos in confusion.

Emos sees no other way out of it, so he extends his right hand, which doesn't look good. The hand has a yellowish bruise which shows it is healing, but it still looks pretty bad. As the hand goes forward, Emos slowly prepares himself for what is coming next.

There is a distinct frown that comes to Rennar's features as she regards the hand, though more so, concern covers her features. "What happened?" She replies quietly, and calmly.

Demonder would have thought the letter had explained that, so he continues to watch Rennar and Emos with a still expression. There's a reserved way about the way he looks around the room that is now nearly empty.

Emos just keeps digging himself deeper into that hole he is in. He writes as a response, 'An accident when practicing' he pauses and continuesm 'what I've learned with using a sword.'

Rennar reads the letter once more, her lips thinning a moment. She regards Emos calmly, "Who is teaching you the sword?"

Emos is obviously not wanting to answer. He writes slowly 'Lord Zilfrin.'

Rennar glances to Demonder briefly, then back to Emos, "I'm not familiar with a Lord Zilfrin..." She pauses, then looks at the young boy, "If you are going to learn teh weapon, please learn to be careful... if he's harmed you intentionally, I want you to come to me. Understood?"

Demonder watches Rennar as she handles this matter. The name offers no hint of who it could be.

Emos nods.

"The night is late." Rennar comments, "And Demonder and I have much to discuss." Her eyes go back to Demonder, still holding cool trails to them, though not as much as before.

Emos nods and moves toward the door, obviously wanting to go somewhere, probably bed.

Demonder gives Rennar this 'we do?' look, as he clearly has the appearance of a man that has no clue what will happen next on this evening. Or the rest of his life, for the first time realizing how understated his thoughts of Rennar being difficult were. "Yes, Emos, do excuse us."

Emos exits to the courtyard through the high doors.

"We should return to my manor this evening..." Rennar comments, eyes glancing about Roesone Estates. It is clear, Rennar is not comfortable being here, preferring the confines of her own home.

Demonder nods slowly, his eyes watching Rennar intently. "That's where my new home is," he decides finally, taking Rennar's hand and hoping to 'lead' her away from the Roesone manor even if it at her suggestion.

This time Rennar allows Demonder to 'lead' the way, out of his house and home, and to House Hune's Tiras Lorn.
