The Rules - X-Files Discussion Forums

The rules here are pretty simple, and should not discourage anyone from posting, we respect everyone's opinions and your right to express them. All we ask is that you give others on these boards the same courtesy.

1. Respect Netiquette, the first rule of the Web.

2. Respect the topic of each forum and stick to it at least 99% of the time. Unrelated, irrelevant or personal messages are unwelcome. If you must post something off-topic, label it as such so it can be avoided by those who are not interested.

3. Post respectfully:

a) Avoid one word or one line responses as much as possible. Sometimes they are necessary to conclude a discussion or brief exchange, but if it is all you ever contribute to any discussion, it becomes annoying very quickly.

b) Watch your spelling, otherwise it's like talking with your mouth full. Typos and spelling/grammar errors once in a while are one thing, but being sloppy and careless is quite another.

4. All ideas or opinions have to be expressed politely, with respect for the other posters and for their opinions. Disrespect, insults, offensive remarks, coarse words and vulgarity are unwelcome.

5. Don't be afraid to ask questions, posts theories, or reactions to episodes, other posts. But most of all have fun!
