Tale of a Vampire (1992)

Directed by: Shimako Sato

Plot: This is the tale of a lonely vampire Alex, who spends his time in the library researching the occult. He finds a strinking resemblance to his lost love in the newly hired librarian. Alex finds that the man who has lured her to him turns out to be his lost loves husband, who has also become a vampire.

Personal Review: Despite several reviews of this film being slow, I enjoyed the pace of the film. This has to be the first film where you really get to know the vampire figure in great detail. Julians character almost takes on a heroic form as he seeks human qualities in the other characters, yet uniquely displays his own.
