Summary:Nolan is given a noble title within Kandor for his service in keeping Princess Elyse, and her sisters, safe.

There's a light knock at the door, then a Guard peeks his head inside, "Lord Nolan and his manservant are here to see you, Your Highness."

Having just walked within the room, Theowyn's eyes only begin to gaze upon the Princess (assuming she's here). The First Prince turns toward the door as he hears a knock, his arms folding behind him as he waits in expecting for the door to open. There is a curious undertone in his expression.

As Theowyn had arrived Elyse was plucking a soft tune on her floor harp. She now stands, beginning to make her approach with her hands outstretched towards the sound of Theowyn's entrance, when the guardsman announce Nolan. She nods to the voice, her eyes seeming as distant and lost as always, though there is a slightly worried movement to her carriage. "Do admit him, then, Guardsman."

The Guardsman nods and the opens further to admit Nolan and Sinclair. Both men bow to the assembled Royalty and Sinclair speaks, "Light Bless, Your Highnesses. We do appreciate you taking the time to meet with us and we will try not to take up too much of your time that could be better spent on the current problems with Murandy." His tone is quite apologetic.

Theowyn's arm wraps about Elyse, as he takes his escort of her and nods in greeting to Nolan. "Lord Nolan, this sounds important?" he asks quietly.

Elyse dips her head in the direction of Nolan's voice as she settles easily into Theowyn's wrapped arm. Her lithe form seems all too natural to be there. She blinks a few times unseeingly towards Nolan's voice, "Indeed. I trust all is well?"

Nolan nods his head a bit as Sinclair speaks, "Yes, everything is well, Your Highness. The reason for this audience is that my Lord has recieved a summons from his family. Apparently Her Highness Tashana has been spreading word of his deeds throughout Ebou Dar and his family now wants to bring him back into the fold, as it were."

Theowyn's hand lightly flows across Elyse's waist, insuring she is securely at his side as though she may flee to some bar if he released her. "Where will this road take you, Lord Nolan?" Theowyn asks casually, though turning to Elyse for the primary reaction.

With a soft, but merry chuckle Elyse favours the room with her lilting voice, "Well, twould seem my sister fancies you, Lord Nolan." There is a pause, her hand lifting to rest against Theowyn's chest as he stands close beside her. His movements to insure she is securely beside him are not met with any resistance, if anything, the princess presses herself closer still, so that her soft figure presses lightly against Theowyn's, and she nods to Theowyn's question, "Where indeed? On a happier course, I hope?"

Nolan smiles a little and his cheeks actually turn a light shade of pink. Sinclair chuckles at Elyse's words, "So it would seem, Your Highness. The road will take us back into the good graces of the family, especially if Lady Ariana has planned what I think she has."

"Indeed," Theowyn nods in a quiet confirmation of Elyse's words, seemingly amused, and that furthering when the man actually blushes at the suggestion. "Now that Princess Elyse is safe, if only because I will insure she does not move away an arm's length from my grasp," he notes in a tone that clearly indicates teasing, though he does brush across her waist with his hand in further reassurance.

Elyse grins and blushes herself, bowing her head a moment with a demure expression before lifting her chin again, blind gaze cast slightly past Nolan's shoulder as she replies, "I will miss your companionship and protection, Lord Nolan. But I can understand the need for family reconciliation." She wears a charming, pleased smile and adds, "Is there anything I can do in return for your services that you've so graciously granted me? Perhaps a farewell celebration? Do you know when you will depart?"

Nolan shakes his head at Elyse's offer and Sinclair voices what he feels Nolan's trying to say, "We appreciate your offer, Your Highness, but we would not want to impose. We shall be leaving in two days time. And if I may, I would like to read a letter written in my Lord's own words?"

"Indeed, please go on," Theowyn encourages, his attentions flowing through Nolan to Elyse. He seems to be enjoying this late playing with her, the way his fingers stroke at her side while he holds her near. Though Elyse is blind, she may note the breath against her shoulder that would indicate he is turned in her direction.

Elyse smiles again and nods, agreeing with Theowyn's sentiment, "Yes, please." She remains beside him, her hand still resting against his strong chest, while her other hand moves across the curve of her hip to find the hand at the end of the arm he still has wrapped around her, where his fingers stroke affectionately. She offers a gentle squeeze of that hand, and attempts to interlace her fingers with his. Despite this, her blind gaze is still cast ahead of her, toward Sinclair's voice, attentively.

Sinclair reaches into his vest and withdraws a folded piece of paper. He unfolds it and starts to read, "Princess Elyse, Prince Theowyn, It is with a heavy heart that I inform you of my impending departure. I have greatly enjoyed the hospitality of Andor and after spending time with the Kandori Princesses and their younger brother, here and in Mayene, I consider the Kamikatsu's my second family. I will miss your companionship and wish that I could stay, but I cannot turn away this chance to be with my true family again. Hopefully, my mother does not have planned what I fear. I did enjoy Princess Tashana's company while in Mayene and on the voyage to Illian, but I do not feel we would make a good match. However, I know that the both of you will make a good match and I wish you both happiness. Do not fear the trials ahead for they are survivable. Trust me on this. Your humble servant, Nolan Iritande of House Corsobar." He gives Nolan an odd look, but says nothing further.

Theowyn blinks a few times, seeming very pleased at the statement. All too pleased, or is he being amused? "Really, well, congradulations may be in order Lord Nolan." Theowyn's hand brushes away a few strands of Elyse's hair, as a light chuckle takes to him. "That is certainly an interesting development, out in the open, as they say."

Brightening a bit, and smiling with similar amusment and a look of pleasure about her countenance, Elyse responds, "I do hope everything will fare well for you in your future endeavours, Lord Nolan," her tone is genuine, and if she is affronted that Nolan thinks that her sister isn't a good match for him, nothing in her manner indicates it. "You have been very kind and generous in your service to House Kamikatsu, Lord Nolan. All of Kandor will welcome you should you ever find yourself there." She pauses a moment in thought, "In fact . . . " tilting her head slightly away, Elyse says, "Gherta, are you about?" The servant rises from the seat where she was dutifully darning some clothing and answers in a calm voice in the affirmative. Elyse nods once and continues, "Fetch me the green velvet box from my chest, please?" The servant curtsies and departs through the doors to Elyse's bedchambers while Elyse herself withdraws her hands from Theowyn for a moment, gesturing with one of them outstretched towards Lord Nolan and Sinclair, "Lord Nolan, please, if you will come closer?" She smiles warmly. What is she up to?

Nolan gives Elyse a curious look, but does move closer, stopping a couple steps away. Sinclair stands just behind him and clears his throat lightly to indicate to Elyse they've moved.

Theowyn peers at Elyse with some amusement, pondering what she possibly could have in mind for this poor man about to be arranged in a marriage of some sort that he'll likely more then enjoy. He says nothing, watching with curiousity.

Gherta returns, gliding towards Elyse and curtseying once more with a bowed head as she holds up a green velvet box with the Kamikatsu Coat of Arms in gold etching over the top. "The box, Your Highness," She remains poised in her curtsey as she presents it, not rising until bidden to do so. Following the sound of the voice, Elyse reaches forward. Lucky that the servant has such a grasp, because Elyse's blind search would have knocked it to the floor otherwise. Opening the lid, Elyse reveals to those who can see, a brilliant medallion of gold bearing an intricate sigil design on its front. As she retrieves it, the medallion twirls about slowly on its chain, revealing a rearing stallion, a depiction of Kandor's national sigil, along with a name scrolled across the bottom, beneath the horse: Kanigana. "Lord Nolan," the Princess of Kandor states in an eloquent official tone, "Please kneel before me." Her fingers spreading the long chain out as she perpares to place it over Nolan's head once he makes himself available to her.

The rearing stallion is etched on the back f the medallion, while the other sigil is on its front. Just for clarity.

Nolan blinks for a few moments and kneels before Elyse. Sinclair blinks as well before notifying Elyse that Nolan has kneeled. Both men have been taken completely by surprise.

Make that a third, though perhaps not as much. Theowyn seems to smile with pride, though otherwise he continues to offer Elyse that warm embrace that loosens to allow her mobility.

"Not the Heir-Apparent am I, nor His Majesty, but I do have some considerable fiefs with which to distribute to those who've performed some service to me as I see fit." Elyse smiles warmly, genuinely, as she steps cautiously forward. Glad that Nolan placed himself before her, so she would not have to feel her way about for him so much. As it is, she tentatively reaches out blindly, finding Nolan's shoulder, and using the placement of her hand as a guide to the crown of his head. There she withdraws her hand once more, to use both to spread the medallion's chain apart to a point she think would justly make it past his head, and she awkwardly lowers it over him. It takes her a moment to feel her way around the chain as it catches on his ear, and she gently works it past his head and onto his shoulders, "Lord Nolan," her tone is once again formal and regal in eloquence, "In recognition of your loyal and generous service to Kandor, and House Kamikatsu, I hereby grant you the fiefdom estate of Kanigana, all properties and resources of the estate, including the esteemed title which accompanies it." She smiles brightly, and steps backwards once, "Stand, Lord Kanigana, and be recognized." Her tone drops a bit from the elevated formality, "I do hope this encourages you to visit Kandor oft." She folds her hands neatly before her, and dips her head respectfully to the new Lord Kanigana.

Nolan gets to his feet, smiling broadly and nodding. The man would be speechless if could speak at all. Sinclair's jaw actually drops, but he soon regains his composure enough to speak, "My Lord is surely honored and quite pleased, Your Highness. And I will personally see that he does not neglect his new lands." Nolan's shoulders shake with a silent chuckle as he looks to Sinclair. Oh his mother's going to *love* this.

Theowyn stance turns more official as he realizes how high the rewarding to Lord Nolan is. Whatever amusement he has within hides away in those official features, though with the official transfer stated, he does smile. "Congradulations indeed, Lord Nolan of Kandor." Teasing, yes.

"See that he doesn't," Elyse responds in light teasing as well, to Sinclair's comment. Her smile remains and she extends her hand once more to where Nolan last knelt, palm downward. Then adds, "I've little doubt in Lord Kanigara's ability to manage that estate . . . " directing her tone more towards Nolan, than his manservant, ". . . and I look forward to visiting it under your lordship in the future, Sir. I only wish it could me more. You seek reconciliation now, appropriately so, with your Altaran family, m'lord. Know this, should the Wheel Weave different, and more's the pity if it does, you shall have a family in Kandor and will not be without support." Then a soft chuckle, "Though if my sister truly does fancy you as I suspect, m'lord, I daersay you will not be able to escape her very easily upon arriving in Kandor, even if the estate lays some distance from Chachin."

Nolan reaches to gently take Elyse's hand and kiss it upon the back. He releases her hand and smiles again nodding. Sinclair adds, "We thank you, Your Highness, for your generosity."

Theowyn inclines his head formally to Nolan, and sets back with his back erect. Briefly he turns to Elyse, eyebrow arched in a sense of pride as she performs one of her royal duties.

Letting her hand fall back to her side, and stepping back again, reaching blindly, though gently for Theowyn by the last known direction of his voice, Elyse nods, replying, "Think nothing of it," she smiles, "Do you require any assistance for your departure? Funds, perhaps?"

Elyse nods and murmrus, "That will be all, Gherta, thank you. You may bestow the box to its new owner, now, Lord Kanigara." The servant rises from that long held curtsey and turns to offer the box to Nolan now, curtseying once more to him, though doesn't hold it as she had toward the Royal.

Nolan takes the box from Gherta and gives her a nod, then shakes his head to Elyse's question. Sinclair speaks, "You have given us more than we have hoped already, Your Highness. My Lord should have sufficient funds left from the inheritance he recieved from an aunt who felt he should not have been ostracized." Nolan gives Sinclair another look. Must he tell so much to everyone?

Theowyn chuckles a little as he watches the exchange. Its much easier when he's not the one in-charge of these formal arrangements.

Elyse smiles in the direction of Sinclair's voice. Unfortunately, she misses the visible exhange between the two. "Very well. I wish you both a safe and prsoperous journey. And I hope Lord Kanigara, that you will come and and visit me again before you leave, though you've no doubt have much planning to conduct, understandably. I shall miss your accompanying dulcimer as well as the companionship you've offered me in the time Princess Tashana sent you to me. You've helped me overcome some amount of apprehension to perform my own musical talents." Not all, but some, she admits. She settles easily again by Theowyn's side, lest he pulls away.

Nolan smiles softly, the happiness more than evident in his eyes. Sinclair smiles as well, pride in his Lord evident in his features. "Thank you, Your Highness. We shall miss your wonderous vocal talents as well."

"You shall be missed, Lord Nolan," Theowyn confirms, still surprised and amused all at the same time.

Elyse nods, smiling still, "Indeed." Her tone sincere.

Sinclair smiles, "If you will excuse us, Your Highnesses, we have taken up enough of your precious time and we have preparations to make for our journey. Again, thank you both for your generosity." Both men bow deeply.

"Light Illume your journey, gentlemen." Theowyn offers a light bow to each, sighing contently as he nudges Elyse tighter against him

Elyse dips her head, and offers a perfunctory curtsey towards the voice of Sinclair, hoping that includes Nolan still. "Good evening. Peace favour your sword, Lord Kanigana, Master Sinclair."

Both men bow again, then move towards the door.

Sinclair has left.

Nolan has left.
