Summary:Caenna Sedai's murder is revealed. House Roesone is at suspect. Aislynn and Theowyn meet at the Palace Courtyard and then head to the manor to cofront the Duke of Roesone.

From the entrance to the dining hall, the First Prince stands with a group of Queen's Guard about him. There's about five, though a few more leave as he continues a discussion. The cool blue eyes lightly breeze across the hallway in a casual curiousity, though for once he's actually in lighter spirits.

Lorewyr walks in, looking around eyes searching. He catches sight of Theowyn, and breaks into a jog. Moving toward the Prince. His face is a little flushed. He stops just to the side, hoping not to have to be rude.

A few of the guards shift out of the way as they catch Lorewyr rushing toward the prince. Theowyn's gaze goes from casual to something of further concern, and yet at least one of the guards is clearly in further alert. "Aislynn well?" Theowyn asks rather quickly, knowing she had made her return.

Mouse walks up the white steps into the foyer of the Palace.

Mouse has arrived.

Twitch arrives with Mouse.

Mouse slips into the palace and up the stairs, paying no attention to anyone she passes.

Mouse climbs up the spiraling staircase, to the upper levels of the Royal Palace.

Mouse has left.

Twitch leaves with Mouse.

Twitch has left.

Lorewyr bows to Theowyn, "The Queen has returned, and she bids you to Attend her, First Prince." He says, his rich voice flowing...

"Certainly." Theowyn excuses himself from the guard, and moves to follow Lorwyr. A few take Theowyn in a flanking position, of course.

Lorewyr moves back the way he came, out of the Palace to the courtyard.

Lorewyr walks through the tall double doors that lead back to the courtyard and exits the Royal Palace.

Lorewyr has left.

Palace Courtyard: Royal Palace of Andor, Caemlyn

Rio enters the courtyard through the sally-port in the great gates.

Mashir walks through the guarded gates, to the Queen's Plaza.

Tebrya enters the courtyard through the sally-port in the great gates.

Tebrya follows behind Rio, right hand resting lightly on her empty scabbard, from force of habit.

Rio enters the palace courtyard at an even pace. She is not rushed, but if you look closely, you might think that she has been crying recently from some redness around her eyes. Just behind her is Tebrya Vocer who is obviously escorting the Aes Sedai as a personal guard. Rio makes her way across the pavement until she nears where Aislynn and her brother are. She inclines her head toward the Queen. "I'm told that you have summonded me?"

Theowyn enters the scene following behind Lorewyr, and then stepping ahead as he spots Aislynn within the courtyard. He heads in their direction in some haste.

Aeril puts a hand to the hilt of her sword and cooly eyes the other swordswoman that has entered with the Aes Sedai. She is an unfamilar element, a woman that Aeril has not seen before.

Aislynn turns at the sound of her Advisor, and notes the faint redness about her eyes. In a quiet voice, tinged with repressed anger, she inquires of Rio, "Sister, have you any advice on how I should proceed with the Caenna matter?" She does not notice Tebrya as of yet, her attention focused solely upon the Gray sister.

Tebrya's attention turns to Aeril, appraising the woman. She frowns suddenly, eyes flitting between the Queen and Aeril, puzzled. The Queen has no female relatives, let alone a sister...

Lorewyr slips into the background, unsure of where to find Prince Kellian, though he looks pained to admit it.

Aeril salutes the First Prince as he enters the courtyard and draws near. She remains with the regular guards, on hand if needed.

Tebrya looks between the Queen and the Queen's Guard a moment longer, shrugs. She steps back a pace, watching and listening.

Theowyn makes his way into the circle, his focus coming on Aislynn as he catches the end of her words. The attention shifts to Rio, though he does take note of Tebrya, his eyebrow raised. Theowyn manages a slight incline to Aeril, perhaps even a smile, though his focus goes on Rio.

Rio sighs. "I'm not sure of the details of the matter yet, Aislynn. I have only just been informed of Caenna's death." She pauses then, as if to gather herself. Caenna and Rio have been friends for a long time. "Is there anything you can tell me further?" She glances at the guardswoman with some curiousity. Obviously the woman is familar, but not one of those people that Rio normally associates with.

With a weary sigh, Aislynn nods to Rio's question, replying quietly, "Yes, Sister. I have only just found out that there are certain items found about her...person...implicating House Roesone and the Children of the Light, whom some elements of House Roesone are well known to support. This loss is...unspeakable, and does not bode well for relations between these various groups, although I am not yet discounting the fact that the evidence may be contrived to throw us off of the trail of the -real- killer." She shakes her head sadly, catching sight of Theowyn, to whom she gives a tired nod.

A Queen's Guard briefly begins to describe the matter at hand to Theowyn as the other discuss matters. A light nod sets in with response to Aislynn's words. "An investigation of the Roesone manor might still be appropriate. At least, something to discuss with Duke Paedrig." The tone is far from pleased.

"What were the circumstances?" Tebrya's voice is soft, near inaudible, the woman never shifting from her gaurdsman's stance behind Rio.

Rio sighs. "The Roesone's are not friendly to the Aes Sedai. I would not be surprised if they had a hand in thing, but without proof I can't say at this time what would be the best thing to do." She glances at Tebrya briefly, "I think that perhaps until more is known that you and I should tighten our security."

Aeril nods as the guard near her informs the first prince of the details, as if she double checks mentally that the man is relying all the facts correctly.

Now Aislynn gives Tebrya an appraising look, lifting a brow at the young woman who stands so protectively near Rio Sedai. She frowns lightly, as if trying to figure something out, and then turns to Theowyn. "Aye, brother. Perhaps it would be prudent to do so." To Rio, she replies: "No, Sister. Many are not overtly friendly with the Tower, but perhaps a search of their manor is in order, considering what has been found." She nods at the mention of tightening security.

Tebrya nods to Rio, silent again. She meets Aislynn's gaze, inclining her head respectfully, her hands clasped behind her back.

"They are headed by a Brother," Theowyn states simply. "This should be approached with that in mind. Some of the Roesone's could be certainly in question for this. Or its a perfect set-up. An ideal one to split apart Andor's nobility, as we've seen in the past."

Cronus walks into the courtyard from the flagstone path to the northwest.

Cronus has arrived.

Rudra has arrived.

Rudra arrives with Cronus.

Meridon enters the courtyard through the sally-port in the great gates.

Meridon has arrived.

Meridon surrenders the dagger worn at his belt as he enters the palace courtyard. A lit pipe is clenched between his teeth, sending up a small wisp of sweet-smelling smoke.

Cronus exits the barracks intent on something till he spies who is about the area. He moves over and offers a bow to both his queen and prince, trying to encompas them both in one, if not he makes it two. With his fist moving to heart and moving to Aeril's side, a brow raised as if to ask what is up...

Aislynn simply nods silently to Theowyn's observation, seemingly deep in thought.

Aeril nods to Cronus as he enters the courtyard, her hand resting lightly on the hilt of the sword that hangs on her left hip. "Light Illumne, Lieutenant," she bids him. Otherwise, Aeril remains with the regular guards that are on duty to protect the Queen and Prince.

Tebrya stands behind Rio, watching the others.

Rio listens for a time, her face tinged with sadness. "I believe that a search is called for. I will set my eyes and ears to gathering more as well. This is very strange. I've always felt safe here in Caemlyn, I don't understand how this could happen."

Cronus watches the area trying to find the reason for this debacle of sadness, and realizing it must have something to do with the latest death, his face becomes a solemn stone and he moves from the Queen's well protected side to Rio's.

Aislynn inclines her head to Rio, "Thank you, Sister. As will I." She glances at Theowyn sidewise. "How soon can a search be organized, Brother?"

Theowyn turns behind him, noticing the gathering of guards. "We have two officers in the courtyard. I suggest we move this evening to insure any possible evidence is not lost in this. Guards specialized in investigations can be called."

Meridon's brows arch slightly as he considers the people currently in the Courtyard. He ambles slowly, purposelessly across the paving stones, aiming in the general direction of the Gardens.

Aeril nods as the First Prince speaks. She is obviously preparing to follow if Theowyn is going to investigate this personally.

Lorewyr has left.

Aislynn nods at Theowyn's advice. "Then let us go to the Roesone estate."

Rio sighs. "Sister...I feel that I should not go...there is another matter that I wish to look into at this time. But I hope that you will share with me what you discover." She looks at Tebrya meaningfully.

Dashel enters the courtyard through the sally-port in the great gates.

Dashel has arrived.

Aislynn nods at Rio's request, looking again at Tebrya speculatively, as if in faint recognition. "Aye, Sister. I will let you know all that is discovered, as soon as it is discovered."

Tebrya mutters to Rio, "... She trails... words,... forward towards... go to..."

Tebrya mutters to Rio, "... She trails off at the Aes Sedai's words, nods to her, moving forward towards the group forming to go to Roesone. "

Cronus arcs a brow to Theowyn, specialized in investigations... hrm who better to ask than one of his background with the streets. His eyes scan the courtyard and fall on Meridon for a moment, eyes narrowing in the man's study before looking back to his group then to Dashel. He makes a motion to beckon Dashel over... those close may here a semblance of words flowing from his mouth but hardly distinctable to the average ear...

Dashel slowly enters the Courtyard, looking around at all the people. He then looks down to the ground, like he uses to.

"I'm curious in those you take into the palace in confidence against the wishes of the First Prince, Rio Sedia," Theowyn finally states. "So noted." With that said, he looks to Cronus. "Lt., I trust we're ready to begin?"

Dashel walks over to Cronus, looking around. He then nods, "If you need help, I'll help you, sir."

Meridon casts an eye toward the gathering during his liesurely stroll; he meets Cronus' gaze for a moment, and smiles blankly.

Aislynn lifts a brow at Theowyn's words to the Gray Ajah advisor, apparently not understanding their meaning.

Dain enters the courtyard through the sally-port in the great gates.

Dain has arrived.

Tebrya murmurs, "First Prince." There is no warmth in her blue-green eyes, more reminiscent than ever of Rennar's. "It would seem I go with you to Roesone, my lord..." She turns slightly away, towards Aislynn. "Your Majesty."

Aeril merely lifts an eyebrow at Theowyn. "Who I take in my confidence is my own concern. I am of the White Tower after all."

Rio merely lifts an eyebrow at Theowyn. "Who I take in my confidence is my own concern. I am of the White Tower after all."

Cronus looks to Theowyn, then glances to Dashel with a thankful smile then back to Theowyn, and a sharp nod, "Yes sir." Another motion brings a squad of guards to alert status forming up and readying to leave upon command. If nothing else they will be used for the crowd control and finding those that will need questioning. "When you are ready, sir, We will be."

"If Rio Sedai shares you in confidence," Theowyn responds, looking to Rio and nodding slight. "Still, when the order of the First Prince is broken, it does not hold well. Though no surprise if Tebrya had not mentioned herself being barred from the Palace. I trust you would not break with the rule knowingly."

Making his way through the gates Dain pauses a moment to give up his blade as is proper on the palace grounds. Glancing to the assembled in the area the Tarien pauses a moment not expecting to see so many people about...

Dashel moves over to stand besides Cronus.

Understanding now dawning in her eyes, Aislynn takes another appraising look at Tebrya. "Calisa," she states, simply. She gives Rio a questioning look, but there are seemingly more pressing matters for her at the moment, rather than to delve into this issue.

Rio doesn't answer the first prince instead she leans over to Tebrya. She mutters to Tebrya, "I... about... with... passion...as... know,... do what... can to... warder is... Sister... attacked,... far away."

Meridon taps the ashes out of his pipe before reaching the door to the palace and stamps out any embers with his boot. He takes a moment to clean it carefully, then wraps it in a soft cloth from his pocket and slips it into his coat.

Jadha walks into the courtyard from the flagstone path to the northwest.

Jadha has arrived.

Aeril looks between the First Prince and the swordswoman with some apprasial. She files the interchange away for future reference.

Jadha arrives last approaches Cronus to speak quietly for a moment.

Tebrya's gaze is glacial now, fixed on Theowyn. "She does, First Prince." She flits a glance to Aislynn, eyes continuing on to Rio, the swordswoman whispering a reply.

Cronus watches the group then arcs a brow as Jadha, approaches him rather than filing in with the squad. He does however listen before deciding whether or not the man should be called down... after all he is still waiting for orders to advance...

Meridon walks through the gleaming white double doors, into the Royal Palace.

Meridon has left.

Pursing his lips from under his goatee Dain begins to make his way through the courtyard although not making his final destination known, his step smooth and lazy...

Tebrya mutters to Rio, "... search...The Lord... Commander should not... track. He... is, my... -... him... I..."

Dashel finally seems to have gathered himself. He mutters to Cronus, "... was... why?..." It seems the very short young man has many questions.

Tebrya nods again, stepping away from the group.

Theowyn inclines his head to Cronus, and then looks to Aislynn with a nod. "Shall we, sister?"

Aislynn nods, and glances about, making sure that all are in preparation for the short journey.

Aeril seems ready to follow after Aislynn.

Seeing that indeed this is a large group to be about so late in the eave Dain chooses to keep far from them and simply watch. After all he remebers the last time he was with Theowyn what happend, bussy times indeed.

Rio doesn't appear to be getting ready to follow and instead looks off into the distance, preparing for a journey of her own.

Cronus blinks as Aislynn is attending as well and seems to debate on whether more guards should be summoned but decides against it for the moment. More can be quickly summoned. He looks to Dashel debating at first what to say then stating it as signals the Squadman to the ready.

The Squadman catches the signal and calls the squad to attention, signaling the guards out in standar formation, 1 file in front, one to each side and one staying to the rear. While he himself moves to be near Cronus so orders flow more efficiently.

Cronus watches the deployment of guards, as he takes up post behind Theowyn.

You are already allowing others to follow you.

Rio inclines her head to Aislynn and then heads toward the palace.

Jadha takes up a position next to Cronus.

Rio walks softly through the gleaming white double doors, into the Royal Palace.

Rio has left.

Dashel looks around, slowly, then, "I see."

Courtyard: Roesone Manor, Caemlyn(#1065RJLh$)

The gates of the Roesone Estate are well guarded, though at the approach of the Queen's party they do open with a few noted yells to the others. Much like on the day Cathryn was assassinated, the courtyard is active with House Guardsman. Word likely hit here far too quickly. Off by the main entrance the Duke of Roesone stands, surrounded by men. He does note the yells, and quickly disregards those he's speaking with to head toward the front gates of the property.

The Squadman redeploys the men upon arrival splitting up Alpha File, leaving the two most experienced of the group with Theowyn, and sending the two newbies and the file leader with Beta File. Which he assigns the task of finding witnesses. Charlie File gets the lovely task of policing the scene, with Delta File Set to keep people on the estate grounds till further notice.

Cronus remains at Theowyn's side for the time being but his eyes are active surveying the scene and what remains of the possible clues trying to elaborate on the quick report from his desk. He calls Jadha out of Delta file to assist him at the moment. As the gates are guarded enough without adding more....

Jadha moves over to Cronus' side standing at ease, but scaning the area constantly.

Dashel looks around, slowly, seemingly a bit nervously.

Aeril remains near the Queen, her hand lightly upon her sword. She assumes a position just behind and to the left of the queen, surveying the courtyard of the Roesone Manor with some suspision, even with the backing of the Queen's Guard behind her.

Aislynn strides purposefully into the Courtyard of the Roesone manor, in the midst of the others who have just entered, staying near to Theowyn and Aeril. She glances about at all of the activity, one pale brow lifting in speculation.

Moving beside Aislynn, Theowyn makes his entrance, heavily looking over the activity in the courtyard with consideration. When Paedrig comes into sight, his attention goes to him. "This should be interesting," he mutters to those directly near him.

Aislynn inclines her head politely to Paedrig. "Duke Paedrig Roesone," she begins, her voice coolly formal, though holding no hint of outright hostility. "I am sure you have already been informed that the death of Caenna Aes Sedai has been implicated with your illustrious House. We come here not to do you an injustice, but to make sure that justice -is- done, and properly. Will you consent to a search of your manor and grounds?" Her cool blue eyes survey the Warder and Duke appraisingly, expressionless.

Dashel looks around, slowly, still nervous. When the Queen speaks, he looks towards her.

"Your Majesty," Paedrig's words flow easily as he bows formally before the Queen. The large man moves swiftly, sweeping his gaze across those many that have entered. Aislynn's words produce a slight nod. "The search would be essential. I only heard of this half hour ago at most, as a servant came rushing with the news. When the rumor was confirmed, I thought to be on the safe side. The grounds are secured." There is a pause, though only enough so Paedrig can step closer to Aislynn to speak the rest in a lower tone. "I hold doubt over Roesone's involvement in this matter, though certainly there is only one Roesone that had threatened an Aes Sedai in the past. I believe Lord Daric was already accused of threatening a Sister with murder? The guards on the stairs have been heading the investigation, though Lord Daric's belongings have not been touched."

Cronus looks to the Alpha Beta Squad mix and motions them to take root into the house. To do as they are expected in searching the grounds, thoroughly. Cronus then motions for the squadman to search himself with those moving into the manor. Next step in Cronus's planning is looking to Dashel, something seeming to be exchanged before his eyes once again flow about the area with a casual and intense study...

Dashel nods to Cronus, before he looks around again.

Jadha notices the exchange between Cronus and Dashel, but then continues scanning the area and watching everyone.

Cronus mutters to Theowyn, "With your... prince I... and search... possesions."

Cronus whispers "With your permission my prince I will go forth and search Lord Daric's possesions."

Aeril remains near the Queen, listening with some interest to what the lord of roesone has to say.

Aislynn inclines her head to Paedrig's words. "I had thought it prudent to nevertheless perform a search. Evidence can be planted, but in these times one cannot be too careful. I do hope these actions offend you not, Duke Paedrig. I mean to cause no strife, but do have a responsibility to see that justice is upheld."

Aeril looks over at Cronus briefly, before returning her attention to the nobles.

"I would not wish to propogate the matter, Your Majesty. The Roesone Manor stands open for Her Queen's Guard to progres their investigation. House Guards and nobles /will/ co-operate or certainly would be under your right to arrest." Paedrig's words are rough, the man is more the warrior then a noble, but he has been forced into a position of nobility far too quickly. Perhaps like his brother. "Andor needs no more strife, and in this matter, the involvement of the Queen's Guard is appreciated." Paedrig steps to the side, as though clearing the way. The Roesone Guards do much the same, slowly seizing in activity and standing away.

The fiery-haired Queen, still dressed in the riding habit of her journey home, simply nods curtly at this, turning to glance at Cronus. "You may proceed, Leuitenant." She glances sidewise at Theowyn, to make sure all is going as expected.

Cronus nods and without further adue, motioning for Jadha and Dashel to attend him. He moves up to a house guard, that looks to hold the seniority among those present rather than taking the noble from the prince and queen. "Show me to Lord Daric's room... please."

Jadha follows Cronus' with an easy and alert stride.

Dashel looks around, and then follows after Cronus, slowly.

Theowyn shifts his head to the side a hint in response to Aislynn's glance. "I am uncertain if we could do much else here. We should not focus all our resources here, though certainly it would seem a trail is leading in a specific direction." By the tone, this may be either good or bad, likely Theowyn's earlier words of a 'setup' still ringing true.

Aislynn nods distractedly at Theowyn's words. "Of course, Brother. Perhaps an investigation of the Tower House is also in order. I must return to the Palace so that I can notify the Tower of this matter." She heaves a faint sigh, and turns back to Paedrig. "Thank you, Duke Paedrig, for your cooperation. I am leaving the investigation here in able hands." She turns to Aeril, lifting a blonde brow, "Would your abilities best be used here, Leuitenant, or elsewhere?"

Cronus hear's Theowyn's words as he watches the shifts of the guards looks, with a onceover of the man. He awaits to be lead in the appropriate direction and location of where he was asked to go.

Aeril nods to the Queen. "The men will see you safely home, my Queen. My duty is to protect the First Prince while he remains beyond the palace walls."

Jadha has left.

Aeril looks at the First Prince with a measure of seriousiness. She will see the man safe as she is sworn to the protection of the royal family. However, she does make sure that the Queen has a proper escort before she prepares to remain.

"I will be joining you," Theowyn returns. "The matter be best observed where other reports may come in. Lt Cronus, you may stay to continue the investigation." Inclining his head to Aeril, a brief smile forms. "Lt. Aeril."

Aeril nods and follows the Queen and the First Prince, leaving the scene behind.

Aislynn simply nods, and turns to head back out of the gates and toward the street, with Aeril and Theowyn.

Through the gates, you make your way out and into the street.
