| Summary: | Theowyn escorts Elyse into the Arboretum. A borderland melody catches their attentions, while Rezna is busy paying attention to a possible assassin that was setting up over a wall. |
Nolan walks over to a bench, a large wooden case, much like one would keep a lap harp in, is on his back. After sitting down, he opens the case, withdrawing a hammered dulcimer, which he checks to make sure it's still in tune.
Tebrya leans over the fountain, splashing water on her face. Her face is flushed, and her hair soaked both by the the water and by sweat - she wears a shirt and breeches, having just ended a sword practice.
Nolan takes a seat at the Bench off the Path.
Kyriele is wandering down the paths, not seeming to be heading anywhere in particular, yet there is a slight smile and a dreamy expression on her face. She does not seem to be actively aware of those others in the Arboretum, however.
Near the entrance of the Arboretum, the unmistakable Royal Carriage arrives and stops. Departing the carriage with about a dozen guards dismounting from horseback to join them, Kandori and Andoran both, is The First Prince of the Sword, who assists the blind Princess Elyse Kamikatsu down from the carriage. She slips her arm easily through his own, and follows his escorting stride. The only pause she makes is to inhale the deep lovely fragrance of the Arboretum's blossoms this spring.
Nolan looks up from tuning his dulcimer at the approach of the Royal Carriage. He sits the dulcimer aside and stands before bowing to the Royal pair. Strangely, the customary verbal greeting is absent.
Theowyn stride is much that of a Warder, his brilliant blue eyes especially alert now that they are in a less controlled environment. They are well guarded, likely drawing more attention to them then necesary, but Theowyn does ignore any gazes as he turns his eyes briefly on the Princess at his arms. "After the Ambassador's wife mentioned the Arboretum, I realized I've yet to take you out to some of the more beautiful locals." Theowyn does avoid the fountain, a brief smile showing. Apparently paranoid, the Queen's Guard do treat any that approach with some care. The First Prince inclines his head with curiousity as Nolam makes his approach, not recognizing the man.
Kyriele does not seem to notice anything around her, just continues her wanderings. Almost dreamily oblivious to everything, it's a world of memories, fancies and shadows through which she walks as she treads each different path.
Tebrya turns around, water flying as she shakes her head. Spotting the Prince anfd Princess, she straightens to attention, bowing deeply as they pass. Not traditional, maybe, but much better suited to her current attire.
Elyse smiles, leaning close to her Prince escort, too close some might think with her arm entwined with his and her other resting atop their clasped hands as well, a gesture of affection and fondness. Not seeing those who bow or acknowledge the passing couple, the Princess merely comments to Theowyn, "Oh, I'm so glad, my Prince. It doesn't compare to the Queen's Gardens of course, but the variety of fragrences is . . . stimulating." She seems entirely unaware of any threats here. Feeling safe and secure with both a Warder as her suitor and a dozen guardsmen in accompaniment.
After bowing and smiling to the Prince and Princess, Nolan retakes his seat on the bench. He resettles the hammered dulcimer in his lap and begins to play Coming Home from Tarwin's Gap.
Tebrya looks away from the royal couple to Nolan, smiling as she recognizes the tune. Beginning to sing it softly, she wanders towards him, tapping out the beat on her scabbard.
Theowyn does incline his head lightly, as though in thanks for the tune. With his eyes making another attentive sweep of the arboretum, he does spare one for Elyse as well, and continues to lead her onward. The others bowing get an inclining are responded to with a slight incline of his head, and Tebrya goes almsot un-noticed, though perhaps more ignored then anything further. "I wish I could boast that it is an Andoran man that plays the song," Theowyn tells Elyse while leaning slightly further to her. Though she is blind, Theowyn would have the impression of being well practised in his lead, noting a few steps that might cause her trouble as they move on.
Rezna walks through the large iron gates, entering from the Inner City.
Rezna has arrived.
Maricca has arrived.
Maricca arrives with Rezna.
Rezna comes walking into the arboretum with his wife on one arm, and a huge ass crossbow on the other...
Nolan is sitting on one of the benches, a hammered dulcimer in his lap. It's case is sitting next to him on the bench. The soft notes from the instrument drift out across the gardens. One might recognize the tune as Coming Home from Tarwin's Gap.
Looking round the Arboretum as they enter arm and arm Maricca's emerald eyes shine in delight "It is as beautiful here as they say."
Rezna shrugs as he leads his wife in. He seems to be more interested in what he is smelling then what he is seeing. "The Queen's gardens are more my variety as flowers go dear."
Maricca smiles "the garden has it's own beauty but look how big this is and it seems so peaceful here." she has no idea her husband is smelling anything unfortunately.
Elyse brightens noticeably at the harmony of the well-played dulcimer and vocalist. She listens at length as Theowyn takes them on their stroll, she easily stepping along his stride. After this long of being beside him and on his arm its no wonder. "That's a Borderlander tune. Is it a Borderlander playing?" an excited light dancing on her features just as the cool spring breeze lifts and dances with her honey-blonde tresses.
Tebrya walks towards Nolan, wearing highly unusual clothing for a woman: a shirt, loosely tucked into leather breeches, and a sword prominently displayed at her side. Approaching him, she pauses, humming shifting to soft song.
Nolan doesn't pause in his playing as he looks up at the approaching Tebrya. He smiles pleasantly and nods a greeting to her.
Said sword will do her little good when the time comes. Has she noticed her shadow? The one that has been with her since that horrible evening a few nights ago? Likely not. Where is he now? Hard to say, but he's out here...somewhere
Rezna nods to his wife. "Yes it is large...and yes it is beautiful, so let us be about exploring it shall we?" He leads her along one of the many paths. nose rinkling slightly as all the scents hit him at once and he must work to sort them out.
Maricca strolls happily with her husband pointing out a tree here a flower there "Is that a pond I see." she points in that direction. Maricca seems quiet relaxed at her first real time away from the Palace.
Nolan is of average height and build and has the olive complexion of an Altaran. His hair hangs to just above his shoulders and is a deep black in color. His dark eyes have become more expressive in the past few years with the loss of his voice. An ugly scar on his throat explains his inability to speak. On his torso, he's wearing a pale blue wide-sleeved shirt with a long, elaborately embroidered vest of a bright blue color. Draped across his shoulders is a silk coat, definately too small to be worn conventionally. A gold chain is strung between the narrow lapels of this "cape". On his legs are a pair of black trousers. A black belt around his waist holds a long narrow sword and the everpresent curved dueling knife. On his feet are a pair of brown leather boots with the tops turned down that reach to just below his knees.
Rezna nods. "It is, but I think there are better things to see this way." He leads his wife towards an assortment of trees.
Maricca nods "sure they look as good as anyplace around." she follows him quickly.
The ambassador and his wife head out of sight along the path for the time being.
The royal pair making their way through had already past Nolan's position, though at Elyse's question Theowyn does peer back at Nolan and Tebrya. His eyes harden on Tebrya, though he does focus on Nolan before turning back to Elyse. "I would say Altaran, Princess," Theowyn responds smoothly, his free arm moving across to briefly brush at Elyse's forearm. "A wonderful song. I am glad men and women feel the need to share their music with others like so."
Rezna finally reaches the trees he seems to be looking for something. "Blast these damn plants." Grumble
Elyse smiles and nods, "Indeed," her hand giving Theowyn's an affectionate squeeze, "Even more interesting that someone so far south would have heard such a Borderland tune . . . " she tilts her head so that her ear is more facing the direction of the music behind her, "Or, is that a popular ballad here as well, my Prince?" Her feet pause in their stroll, bidding her escort to do the same.
Maricca mutters "you have never been great in the outdoor." she pushes through the plants easily "I bet the baby would love to come out here and play sometimes instead of being locked in that cage all the time."
Tebrya does not interrupt the song, just raises her voice to just below the volume of Nolan's dulcimer. Turning towards Theowyn and Elyse, she offers the former a challenging smile, never faltering in the song.
Rezna blinks. "No way do we face the liability of him getting loose in this garden dear. And do becareful which plants you go wading through...I think he went that way, and he does not smell like the sort you want to encounter with only a knife."
Nolan watches the exchange between Tebrya and Theowyn curiously, though he doesn't allow it to interfere with the music he's playing.
Maricca nods "you know I am good at a distance with my weapons I will stay behind you and watch your back, but it would help if I know what we were looking for." she chuckles "well maybe we could fashion a leash for baby and take him for walks." now she is teasing for sure.
Rezna smirks. "I get enough attention just carrying this crossbow dear. People seem to think I have no right to carry it...I honestly think they have no clue just how infected their city is...I believe we are following a trained killer. I picked up his scent just outside the palace and it has lead here. These damn plats...make it difficult though."
Theowyn ignores Tebrya for the most part, though now that Elyse has haulted their progress, he is forced to somewhat recognize her with a slight nod. He guides Elyse around to face the man that plays the music. "It is not one that would be played in the Palace," Theowyn explains in a whisper, and obviously showing that his musical entertainment would have been limited to the location. The First Prince's fingers continue to stroke lightly on Elyse's arm, though he does settle it to his side leaving his sword-arm free.
Nolan smiles again in the direction of the Royal couple. Alas, too bad Sinclair isn't here to speak for his lord.
Maricca looks shocked "why did you not tell me this before when you wer asked what was going on out here?" she growls a bit "You make me stay in that Palace couped up and now thinking you were being nice you take me on such a hunt." she is not real happy about this.
Elyse tilts her ear back towards Theowyn, She mutters to Theowyn. Her vacant gaze lingers in the direction of the musician and singer a moment and then she turns back around, allowing Theowyn to continue to lead her further along the path he chose. "Something has you nervous, my Heart. If you want to return to the palace, I can remain with the guardsmen here for a time? Or just leave back to the palace with you. I am concerned though, something displeases you. Is it our location? Or the music?"
You sense Elyse tilts her ear back towards Theowyn, "Oh?" Her vacant gaze lingers in the direction of the musician and singer a moment and then she turns back around, allowing Theowyn to continue to lead her further along the path he chose. "Something has you nervous, my Heart. If you want to return to the palace, I can remain with the guardsmen here for a time? Or just leave back to the palace with you. I am concerned though, something displeases you. Is it our location? Or the music?"
Rezna smirks as he makes his way through some bushes...least that is what they look like. "Would you have stayed home if I told you I was going out?"
Maricca smiles, her emerald eyes scanning the area "No dear but I could have been better prepared is all." she chuckles reaching into her cape and pulling out a small jar "I do have the poison I use on my blades, should I prepare one now or just wait?"
Rezna shakes his head. "No...I do not intend to confront him...I simply want to verify he exists and why..."
Tebrya trails off her singing, still watching Theowyn. Barely holding back a smile, she bows again - only she does not simply bow. She kneels in the manner of a guard, one hand on her sword and the other pressed against the ground in a fist. Rising, she smiles again at him, turning to stroll away.
A guard aye? Hmm. Well she is a very lucky one. Those damn royals are in the way. ironic that a Prince is blocking the shot would you not say?
Maricca returns the jar to her pocket "Ok I see now but you should have told me of this, maybe when we return you can explain further why you are so interested in someone here."
Rezna says "That is my job to be interested dear...it has always been my job. Thankfully here in Caemlyn though...I am under no obligation to do anything about it as I used to be at home."
Theowyn watches the musician play his song, though at Elyse's words he turns more to her, his words soft and reassuring in tone. For the time, he loses focus on the rest what is around them, and simply sets his fond gaze on his Princess. He mutters to Elyse, "... my love. The musician is speaking... had... after being... My... of... we... time ago... brought... here... matter... trust..."
Elyse senses "Theowyn watches the musician play his song, though at Elyse's words he turns more to her, his words soft and reassuring in tone. For the time, he loses focus on the rest what is around them, and simply sets his fond gaze on his Princess. "Not at all, my love. The musician is speaking with a woman that had sworn Oaths to the Dark after being tortured. My sister stripper her of noble titles and set her free, and we thought her dead. Some time ago Durnik brought her to Caemlyn, and here she still stays. That is the matter of my tension, I do not trust her.""
Maricca nods "Yes that is true, you have always been good at what you do." she does not bother to add that is part of why she has such feelings for you "Do you still have his scent?"
Nolan gives Theowyn a quizzical look before looking back to his dulcimer. He's speaking? Wish someone had told him that. ;)
Rezna nods and spots the guy now that he finally moves. Damn...were it not for his nose, the both of you might have walked right past him, or under him rather. he is camoflauged in with the ivy that lines the top of the garden wall. Even at that there is not much movement as the man subtly packs his crossbow away and slinks down the other side of the wall. "Damn! He's good. WHy is he leaving?" Rezna has a frantic look about. "If the royals were his target he would have fired by now...he must be after someone else."
Elyse gasps, visibly startled and leaning more against the Prince's side, gripping his arm, She mutters to Theowyn, "... Darkfriend?... Permitted... yet?" not to suggest that the Queen doesn't know who to rule her own country, merely indicating that Elyse doesn't know the extenuating circumstances, obviously. Plus there is the cultural difference. Her body tenses visibly, seeking Theowyn for comfort, safety, and reassurance, and she seems quite frightened at the prospect of a known Darkfriend present.
You sense Elyse gasps, visibly startled and leaning more against the Prince's side, gripping his arm, "A known Darkfriend? Here? Permitted to live, yet?" not to suggest that the Queen doesn't know who to rule her own country, merely indicating that Elyse doesn't know the extenuating circumstances, obviously. Plus there is the cultural difference. Her body tenses visibly, seeking Theowyn for comfort, safety, and reassurance, and she seems quite frightened at the prospect of a known Darkfriend present.
Maricca looks to the place she sees her husband staring she barely catches a glympse "you are good dear I would surely have missed that."
Nolan's small hammer misses its mark as he overhears the word Darkfriend. He stops playing to look around warily.
Rezna sighs. "I suppose it is not my problem. i would very much like to know his purpose though." And of course if his efforts paid off in this case, he would likely be disappointed that anyone would go to such trouble over some little woman.
A subject all too close to sparking Theowyn's temper, though as Tebrya leaves he does seem lesson his alert stance. The Prince comes more around to face Elyse then, his arm moving to her shoulder and drawing her into an embrace meant to comfort. "She has left," he begins. "The White Tower ruled that Oaths sworn under torture are not validated. She is accused of being weak in the will, of not finding a courages death, rather then a cowardly existance." Theowyn's words are strong, and by no means whisper. "But all the same, Oaths pressed under torture are not binding. A council of Aes Sedai made the conclusion." By tone it is clear that The First Prince would have rather seen her hanged, and for that, he disagrees with his sister.
Rezna decides to head back to the main path which leads back to the center of the garden.
Nolan supposes the Darkfriend mentioned earlier is the same person that the Prince says has left. He resumes playing his dulcimer as if he had never stopped, though occasionally, his gaze does scan the surroundings suspiciously.
Maricca follows and join her husband.
Rezna approaches the prince when he catches sight of him. Wife on one arm crossbow, which he takes a moment to safety, on the other. "Prince Theowyn." He calls out. "Might I have a word with you for a moment?"
Elyse curls herself close within Theowyn's comforting embrace, and nods as she listens, "I . . . understand." she manages vaguely, still absorbing it, and then, murmurs, "I'm sorry."
Maricca joins her husband and dips her head to the Prince and Princees. She remains silent letting her husband do the talking.
Rezna stops in his tracks as he spots the Aiel with the instrument. There is a distinctive clicking sound as the ambassador's thumb flicks said safety...back off though he makes no move to raise the weapon...Shooting an Aiel swinging a spear about is one thing...One playing a dalcimer in the royal arboretum would be quite another thing.
Theowyn's arm runs along Elyse's back in a comforting motion. "There is nothing to be sorry for. I would not have been as kind with her." The embrace lasts some time still, his fingers moving from the small of her back to her shoulder-blade before he begins to turn away. A smile shows, one that he hopes is honest enough to be heard in his voice, as he tries changing the subject. "Would you like to meat the musician?"
Elyse sighs happily and nods, She mutters to Theowyn, "... you.... no.... woman... your... Heart?" She pauses, tilting her head in the direction of Rezna's voice and straightens, starting to pull away from the close embrace Theowyn had held her within, "Peace favour you, Ambassador."
You sense Elyse sighs happily and nods, "Thank you. Uh, no. Did you say he was speaking with the woman deserving your ire, my Heart?" She pauses, tilting her head in the direction of Rezna's voice and straightens, starting to pull away from the close embrace Theowyn had held her within, "Peace favour you, Ambassador."
Maricca smiles "Peace favour you Princess and your husband. It seems I finally got my husband to take me out of the palace and on tour of the city."
Elyse blushes thoroughly at the suggestion that Theowyn is her husband, and smiles rather dreamily. She wishes.
Nolan brings the Borderland tune to a close and after a lengthy pause where he gives the Royal pair another quizzical glance (husband?) he begins playing a more Andoran tune.
Theowyn is obviously all too entralled with the Princess, the small Cairhienin man not getting his notice until Elyse addresses him. He does not do the Ambassador, and whispers a few words to Elyse to complete their discussion. He mutters to Elyse, "... with... admiring... distance. She... she... that... Too defiant for her..." Theowyn does look to Maricca with a startlement, before he manages a chuckle. "Ambassador, and his lovely wife. Light Illume. Though, we are not married, Maricca," he is all too quick to point out. A pleased expression takes to his features as he watches Elyse blush.
Elyse senses "Theowyn is obviously all too entralled with the Princess, the small Cairhienin man not getting his notice until Elyse addresses him. He does not do the Ambassador, and whispers a few words to Elyse to complete their discussion. "Perhaps he was not speaking with her, she may have been only admiring his music at a distance. She seems rather certain that she if of the Light, and that from the only time I spoke with her. Too defiant for her own good." Theowyn does look to Maricca with a startlement, before he manages a chuckle. "Ambassador, and his lovely wife. Light Illume. Though, we are not married, Maricca," he is all too quick to point out. A pleased expression takes to his features as he watches Elyse blush."
Rezna stops a comfortable distance away from the royal couple, taking a moment to sling the crossbow back over his shoulder. He looks to maricca as she makes that slip. "It is conceivable that they will be husband and wife at some point in the near future." he has observed that much. "But they are not married at this moment dear." Now he looks to Elyse. "And you as well Princess Kamikatsu." He knows better then to assume that piece will favor anyone in this city. Now he addresses Theowyn. Forgive my bluntness your highness, but you and the Princess...should not be out here."
Maricca blushes "Yes I am sorry but as well as you both get on you should be." she grows silent as her husband speaks.
Elyse blushes an even deeper color of rose as Maricca comments on her virtue, or lack thereof as Elyse interprets. Her smile fades and she appears quite humbled and meek. Theowyn's comment on the musician all forgotten as she steps, or tries to, to a more appropriate distance. She lapses into an embarrassed silence.
Nolan watches the exchange between the Royal couple and the Cairheinin as he plays. Interesting. Hmmm.
Kyriele walks east, heading out to Caemlyn's Inner City.
Kyriele has left.
Theowyn decides that the clearing of his throat is a safe response to any point of what should and shouldn't be. "Certainly our public displays are not..." Theowyn seems to have something caught in his throat. He coughs again, trying ot figure out how to deny any lost virtues without making it obvious that he was thinking that. Theowyn settles for a pause, and a change in the subject, which Rezna gladly provides. "Ambassador, it is safe enough, we have a dozen guards. Not something that I would recommend each evening, but a Prince and Princess do require their escape. As you do, Ambassador. Unless you see a direct threat?" There, much safer. At least of their virtues.
Rezna smirks and points to yonder wall...a spot nicely nestled between 3 trees. Ivy covered...concealed. "Yes there is a direct threat First Prince Theowyn." Theo should have some idea what Rezna's job in Cairhien was once upon a time. What he achieved some amount on notoriety for. "you were being watched Prince theowyn, by a well armed man who has killed at least 2 in the past 3 days. I cannot be certain, but I believe that at a number of points during your excursion, he could easily have put an arrow in your back, or the back of the Princess. Yes you are well guarded, but guards...are only human. This city is not safe. Nor are certain areas of your palace. You would do well to remember that in future when planning your escapes."
Elyse frowns openly, and visibly tenses. She remains quiet however. What could she do? Her Kandori guardsmen, who were previously alert go into action, a small detail of them breaking away to investigate the matter Rezna suggested.
Maricca stays silent and listens.
Nolan glances towards the indicated wall, stopping his playing and sitting the dulcimer aside for a moment.
The Ambassador shows much too much knowledge for a man that would just casually glance at a wall and take notice of a man. Theowyn takes him all too seriously, however, knowing the reputation Rezna had among the Cairhienins. The Queen's Guard likewise move into action. The Warder's eyes settle on the spot, his expression almost without emotion though certainly showing concer when his turns to Elyse. Whatever could have happened, the concern shows most for her. "Thank-you Ambassador. Your services are well appreciated," Theowyn's words are honest. "If you feel you can be of aid to the Queen's Guard..." his voice trails, and stops in the asking, leaving the rest open as he watches Elyse with concern. The assassin could have just as very likely been aimed at Theowyn.
The Kandori guardsmen take a few moments to investigate, while those still present suggest, not to Elyse, but to Theowyn--odd, perhaps--that both the Prince and Princess should be taken quickly from the area in case a threat remains. The Kandori officer is polite in his suggestion, it is not a demand.
Rezna nods. "That is not my purpose here Prince Theowyn. You are one of the few here I have met, for whom I have some appreciation. I mention this to you for that reason. Your city...is besieged. I smell it. Your enemies are wherever they wish to...whenever they wish to be there. As far as I can tell...They have no checks to slow them...or fear to force caution on their part. Remedy the situation, or I fear you will soon be made well aware of their intent."
Maricca looks to her husband in admiration, one of the reasons she got the marriage set up afterall.
Elyse pales at Rezna's speech. But her chin lifts in grim determination against those who have made themselves enemies of House Kamikatsu. The strength of her borderland blood flowing through her making the willowy blind Princess almost formidable in countenance--despite her pale palor.
Formidable in countenance perhaps...but without her guards...quite helpless in reality...
Theowyn shows no fear in the matter, the void having been taken as he listens to the quiet of the night. There is nothing to hear, his eyes taking in no more then they would otherwise. With the Kandori urging them back, with Rezna's words, Theowyn still stands there for some moments still. "Come, Princess. The Ambassador is all too correct in his observations. The Queen of Cairhien owes her life to the man for his senses, I will not argue with reason." Justifying Rezna's understanding in the matter, Theowyn bows his head a bit more then he would typically for the Ambassador. "Will you be joining us in the carriage ride back, Ambassador?"
Rezna shakes his head. "My wife however...Will be. If you would be so kind as to take her back for me." he does not mention the part about kicking and screaming if necessary.
Maricca looks to Rezna "I will not you promised to take me around and I wish to go to the Inn for a meal." she is not about to leave not when there may be some excitement.
The Kandori return to confirm that there had indeed been someone stationed there. But is now gone. Elyse nods once to Theowyn, stretching out her hand for his guidance back to the carriage, "By your leave, my Prince," she murmurs finally.
Rezna does add one thing. "You must be proactive in dealing with them prince Theowyn. Reaction only invites tragedy."
Rezna looks to his wife. "I shall bring you back a meal dear. And you shall go back with them." that concern for her? Couldn't be...
Maricca stands stubornly "No it is not the same I wish to go to the Inn and eat there. I want to see the other people in this town." she is not about to give in unless you hogtie her and drag the woman.
"Your wife may join us." Theowyn is not pleased at being rushed, perhaps showing a stubborn nature that could be his weakness. He does step away then, seeing the concern on the many here. "Good day Ambassador, Light Illume." He lets the matter of whether or not Maricca will join them up to the couple, and now begins the escort toward the royal carriage that is not far off.
Rezna turns to his...wife. "Go with him. Should your sister hear that you have come to ill in my care, she will...feed me to the snakes. Now you go with them, or I will pack you up in a box...and send you back to her. Do you hear me?"
Nolan stands and bows to the Royal couple again as they pass. After seating himself again, he looks again at the piece of wall indicated earlier. If there was an assassin there, why didn't he take one of the many opportunities he had while the two were here? Or perhaps the Prince and Princess were not his targets?
Elyse falls into step easily beside Theowyn as he leads her to the carriage, She mutters to Theowyn, "If an... could... claims,... one of... target, then..."
You sense Elyse falls into step easily beside Theowyn as he leads her to the carriage, "If an arrow could have been loosed at us, as the Ambassador claims, and found one of us as a target, then why wasn't it?"
Theowyn watches a Queen's Guard open the door to the carriage, beginning to aid Elyse within. He mutters to Elyse, "... assassination... the... Guard.... Aes..."
Elyse senses "Theowyn watches a Queen's Guard open the door to the carriage, beginning to aid Elyse within. "Tebrya has had an assassination attempt on her a few days ago. A man kept shooting crossbolts at her while chased by the Queen's Guard. An Aes Sedai saved her life.""
Maricca sighs "I will walk then." she turns to the prince "Thank you for the offer I will be fine I can walk back to the Palace it is not to far and the air will do me good." she glares to her husband and turns heading for the exit.
Rezna shakes his head. "Woman you go get into that damn carriage!"
Elyse nods silently, moving cautiously into the carriage and taking her seat. She appears contemplative.
At Rezna's words to Maricca, he gets to his feet again and glares at the man. Now would be a good time to be able to speak. That is no way to speak to a women, especially your own wife. Had Maricca been Altaran, Rezna would be holding his own heart right now.
Maricca turns and glares "fine we will talk of this at home." she goes over to the carriage and waits to enter. Chuckling "Maybe I should learn more of the Altaran ways they may come in handy."
Rezna smirks. "And perhaps it would be a mercy killing. Now get on back to the palace."
