News On WWF Eve of Destruction And WWF Not Seen In England

Besides "Half Time Heat", the WWF will also air a New Year's special on USA Network called "Eve of Destruction" from 11 to just past midnight, leading in to the year 2000.
- 1wrestling reports Sky TV in the UK have confirmed that they will not be broadcasting the WWF's next big event from Madison Square Garden - The Royal Rumble on January 23.
This is reportedly after an executive decision from Sky Sports. WWF PPVs have been broadcast live in the UK for several years now, and it comes as a shock to many fans as to WHY Sky dropped the live broadcasts. It's speculated already that Sky were unhappy with Miss Kitty's actions at Armageddon on December 12.
Sky's contract with the WWF for live PPVs ends around this time, as the last was signed in 1997 for three years. Sky will be broadcasting Smackdown! From January 8th, so they are not backing out of the WWF product.
