ECW Spoilers

1. Doring & Roadkill defeated Nova & Kid Cash and The Dupp Bros.; Chris Chetti and Jazz both got involved during the match.

2. Super Crazy defeated Hidaka

3. Kintaro Kanemura defeated Tracy Smothers w/ Tommy Rich

4. Jerry Lynn defeated Little Guido after interference from Tajiri and Super Crazy

5. Tajiri beat Super Calo.

6. Da Baldies were scheduled to face Dreamer and Raven but the Impact Players came out and beat Raven to a bloody mess while Dreamer was occupied. No-Contest I guess.

7. During the TNN opening Cyrus came out to criticize Gertner. He revealed that "the office" he worked for was not ECW but TNN. He then went to talk to Masato Tanaka sitting ringside who was scheduled to face Mike Awesome next week. This brought out Judge Jeff Jones followed by Spike Dudley who delivered the acid drop to The Judge. Then Mike Awesome entered which led to another Acid Drop attempt which Awesome countered. Finally, Awesome and Tanaka went face to face. This brought out Paul E. who, with a little urging from Cyrus, made the World Title match tonight.

8. Masato Tanaka defeated Mike Awesome to become the new ECW Champion. It was the usual fare from these two. In other words, Incredible!! After the match, Awesome strapped the belt on Tanaka and raised his arm in victory; only to deliver a vicious clothesline followed by a trip over the ropes through a ringside table for Tanaka.

9. Corino came out with Rhino and Jack Victory. He announced there would not be a tag match between them and Balls and Axl due to Rhino attacking them in the back. Eventually, a bloody Balls made his way out to face Corino in a singles match. When Corino threatened to use a chair, which he couldn't bring himself to do so he handed it to Rhino, the lights cut out and Enter Sandman began. This was the highlight of the show for me btw as I got to stand right in front of Sandman as he chugged a cold one. The celebration didn't last long though, Rhino sent Sandman through 2 tables placed in the corner.

10. Rob Van Dam defeated Mikey Whipwreck in a closely contested match. Near the end the locker room emptied to watch the match. Tracy Smothers and Tommy Rich left the group and ended up attacking RVD (wtf?). Lights out. Sabu appears and lays out Rich and Smothers and then Van Dam. Whipwreck got a near fall but was soon put away by a Van Daminator followed by a 5 star frog splash.

11. Tommy Dreamer defeated Lance Storm. This one went all over the building. Justin Credible got involved but was taken out by Raven. And of course there was the obligatory catfight as well.

Anyway, it was a tremendous show live. I can't wait for the Atlanta taping and Birmingham PPV in just a few weeks. It's a great month for us ECW fans down south.
