Mick Foley Update And WWF In Entertainment Weekly

- Mick Foley was touring Disney MGM Studios Thursday with his family. He was in town for a book signing from 5-7 at the Downtown Disney Virgin Megastore.
- The World Wrestling Federation, specifically Vince McMahon and The Rock, made Entertainment Weekly's list as one of the top 5 entertainers of 1999(coming in at number 5). The article discusses the popularity of the WWF, how it has saved the UPN network, and how McMahon himself has become a huge television star. The article praises the WWF, calling it "the year's funniest and freshest (in both senses of the word) TV". They also talk about the Rock's popularity, and refer to him as a "slogan-spouting stud." The article also mentions the PTC, along with the Owen Hart incident back in May of this year. According to the article, the WWF's worth is estimated at $1.4 billion. McMahon says, "Other than being a scientist who finds a cure for some dreaded diesase, the next best thing in life is entertaining the public". Ricky Martin, David Chase (The Sopranos), The Blair Witch Crew, and Britney Spears were the only ones to beat out the WWF, ranking numbers one to four respectively. The issue hits newsstands Monday.
