Update on Bruno Sammartino/WCW, Bischoff interesting in returning; more WCW notes!
|
- Bruno Sammartino is apparently seriously interested in possibly appearing in WCW, even though at the moment he hasn't been contacted by a WCW employee about working for the company. About a week or so ago, Ed Ferrara confronted Larry Zbyszko with the idea of using Sammartino, now 64. Chris Cruise, who is not a current WCW employee, asked Sammartino about the idea, and Bruno agreed by saying if the money was right, the angle was right, and also if he wasn't portrayed in a negative light, he would do it. He said that he wanted the match to be a 6-man or 8-man tag and preferably a cage match so he wouldn't have to take any bumps. If he were to come in, he would most likely join the legends team that would be feuding with the nWo or a different mid-card team put together by Vince Russo. - Juventud Guerrera's elbow operation on December 20 was said to have went well and he is expected to be back in the ring in early February. - Eddie Guerrero will be back in about 3 more weeks. - The crowbar that David Flair uses is made of rubber. - Eric Bischoff is still interested in returning to WCW as Hulk Hogan's manager.
