WWF developmental update, Hardcore Nitro tonight, WWF Buses, and more
|
- The World Wrestling Federation is readying major changes to its developmental system of independent promotions in the next few weeks as they re-sign wrestlers, re-evaluate those who are under contract and re-assign many to different territories as they look to focus on top prospects. Jim Ross on Dave Meltzers talk show talked about specific wrestlers as well as Reckless Youth could be working in Memphis in a few weeks and Amy Dumas could be packaged with Papi Chulo in the near future if they chose to place him on the air. Bruce Pritchard is in charge of over seeing all the management decisions for the company in this regard while Jim Cornette and Danny Davis physically work with wrestlers in Louiseville and Memphis. Ideas are being bounced around that another territory could be opened in Puerto Rico for developmental wrestlers. At this point developmental wrestlers are working for Ohio Valley Wrestling and Power Pro Wrestling. - Also reported was that Scott Vick, formerly known as Sickboy in World Championship Wrestling will be in Stamford next week to work out at the World Wrestling Federation headquarters for evaluation as it pertains to his future. He could be placed on television in two to three months or may be sent to work in the developmental territories before being placed on television. - Adding to the 3 SuperBowl commercials for this year's match, the WWF will have 5 buses in Atlanta shuttling people around the city during the game. WWF superstars will be all over these buses and WWF.com will have pictures of these soon. - WWF.com uploaded 11 new Titan Tron videos on the website. Rikishi Phatu, Too Cool and BB's are among those added. Check em out at the following URL: WWF.COM - Bob Ryder said today that tonight's Nitro is going to have some unbelievable moments, and even warned the kids 'not to do them at home". Ryder also added that the show "will have jaw-dropping moments." I have heard that Jimmy Superfly Snuka (I'm not sure if that is spelled right) will be there so watch Nitro tonight to see.
