What You Didn't See on Raw
|
The last time Raw was here, it was entitled "Raw is Owen"...the Raw following the tragic death of Owen Hart at Over the Edge in Kansas City, MO. The top story coming off of this event would be what the fans weren't able to see when the cameras were turned off. After HHH and Stephanie left, it was Mankind all alone in the ring. He peeled off his mask, revealing a nasty gash, with blood dripping down his face, when he stated something to the effect of, "The 20,000 fans in St. Louis, MO can go home and say that they were the ones to witness the return of Cactus Jack!!!" At this point, the fans erupted. It was a spectacular ending to a great show. If you've never been to a Raw, I highly recommend the experience. You're amazed when you see the vast array of signs on television. Being there in person totally blows you away. Literally 10's of thousands of signs. Speaking of which, if you saw the following four signs, e-mail me: "Raw is Aaron-co" "Nitro?" "Aaron Loves Emi" "Dave Sucks!" Those signs were the ones I was annoying those behind me with. There was a couple dark matches... Papi Chulo vs. A local worker "Superman" Steve Bradley vs. A local worker. Jakked Tapings went as follows... Christian over Gangrel Kaientai over Jobbers Jobbers over The Mean Street Posse after Kaientai interference. Prior to Raw, Lillian Garcia tells the fans that when the Titantron appears, to hold up signs and be as loud as possible. Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler later come out to a great pop. Lawler gets the crowd going by speaking of the St. Louis Rams, while Jim Ross predicts the Rams will win by two touchdowns over the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday. (Damn, I hope so.) Nothing of great importance was seen during commercials, but a Stephanie McMahon look-alike caught the attention of the crowd when she tripped and stumbled down a few stairs on her way to her seat. Then of course, the "show us your tits" chant began. The fans are catching on to the Tazz Titantron interruption and orange lighting. I don't know if it was heard on TV or not, but the fans actually began to chant "Tazz". It's quite obvious that the fans want Chris Jericho as the sole Intercontinental Champion, as he receive much louder pop than did Chyna. Of course, the pop of the night, or should I say pops, go to The Rock...a big suprise there. He is so over with the fans, and it's just a matter of time until he's the champion. I am amazed the crowd reaction Rikishi Phatu has been receiving. His buddies, Too Cool, are way over as well. That's about all, coming off a fantastic night of Raw is War!!!
