WWF and WCW News

Ken Shamrock has asked the WWF for a leave of absence so he can return to UFC. The WWF granted Shamrock his wish, so unless Shamrock changes his mind, he won't be back in the WWF until late this year or early next year. Also, the latest word is that Undertaker is scheduled to return to the WWF at the Royal Rumble and Tazz is slated to debut the day after the Rumble. Dallas Page boasted in the locker room last night that he believed he cut the best promo of his career when he was in the ring with Buff Bagwell. Page is very enthusiastic about the angle with Bagwell; Bagwell is said to be lukewarm toward it, but doesn't want to be negative since he is the only young wrestler in WCW other than Chris Benoit and Jeff Jarrett getting any kind of a push by Vince Russo When Kevin Nash complained about catering during the WCW meeting last week, it was related to WCW asking wrestler to arrive to the building on time. Nash said if they wanted wrestlers arriving at the buildings so early, the least they could do is provide decent catering. Al Isaacs reports that Rena Mero was on the Season Premiere of First Wave on Sunday night over on Sci-Fi. It pulled a 1.2 in the 10-11pm-time slot.
